Machine embroidered free standing black lace mask with green crystals on one side, and purple crystals on the other. Finished with a black feather accent on one side.

 

Finished with black satin ribbon ties (about 16 inches long per side), this mask would be great for any Mardi Gras event, masquerade ball, or even Halloween. It's very lightweight and comfortable to wear for hours.

 

Asymmetrical collar, made using printed fabric pieces suspended between lengths of machine embroidery. Covered in beads and buttons - vintage and new.

made my girls some paisley embroidered denim shorts. i also used some decorative stitching along the hem.

 

love the look of variegated threads on dark denim.

The project idea for this was to take our designs and see how well we could incorporate them into a full fashion jacket, and somehow (not surprisingly) that turned into a full-on heavy stitched steampunk project!

It has taken years for me to finally get to mine! Rockford font from Meringue, Snowflake quilting from Embroidery Library.

Fairy made out of machine embroidered felt, pewter, wire and threads.

Once again I had to go and see my sewing machine guru, Mr Knutt, as sewing over pewter sent my machine wibbly. He is very understanding and a real gentleman.

Batch making of cards always makes me anxious. My studio table this evening with some bird cards awaiting finishing touches and the fairies ready to be mounted on to a background

My sketch book is coming along - but the progress on the actual piece has stalled due to problems with a new machine embroidery foot.

I think I shall have to order another one as this is misbehaving.

Collaged map of Hastings, using pages from an old map, scraps of machine embroidered textiles mounted on to linen canvas. The roads are all hand stitched in red and blue. The whole piece is then painted with bees wax.
