This is a better photo of the tripod carrying bag strap cover. The case has a brand name on the strap. I stitched the Urban Threads - Boho design and used it to cover the logo. I hand stitched the embroidered piece onto the strap.

Tidying up a few unfinished pieces. Very satisfying.
Using up my scraps of lino printing on to calico, backed with a dyed blanket and then machine embroidered.
The label is printed on my Phomemo thermal printer.
An unfinished project from the dark ages.
I used to babysit for some young children a long time ago and one of them always drew me very unusual fairies as a thank you.
I copied these on to fabric and then added a stitched background and then.....put it away in a drawer.
I came across it today and made it up into a cushion cover.
The child I baby sat for is now married!
Here's a sweet and simple little stocking I made for my nephew Owen. I'm pretty pleased with the end result, but as usual, I figured out some things I wish I would have done differently. Go easy Holly, this is only the first crazy quilt stocking you've ever made! sheesh! Owen's name is stamped with rubber stamps (by Vickie Enkoff) using pigment ink and I put gold embossing powder over the ink and heat set it for cool, sparkly letters.
Loralie Designs Sewing Ladies originally stitched in 2006 and made into a quilted carrying case; re-purposed as wall art by stapling onto an 8x10 inch art canvas

The silk painted fabric is surrounded by machine stitching on chiffon which has been burned back using a heat gun and a soldering iron.
A fun piece!
I enjoy looking at the political process especially through the eyes of the cartoonist.
I need to trim and press/starch the blocks and borders. I have the inner and outer border strips cut, as well as the sashing for the diamond blocks. The "filler" pieces that go between the square blocks and the borders still need to be cut. Maybe tomorrow. I can't wait to get this finished and on the wall!
This is the back of the #121 Katy bags from www.lazygirldesigns.com that I made today. Check out the front for more details.
