I enjoyed slowly adding machine embroidery to this wall hanging. Some day I will add hand embroidery too! The r and the pixelated flowers in the border are my favorite parts.
An exercise in drawing with Publisher's scribble pen, color, and size. This one is about 4" square and took forever to embroider. Machine got too hot. Fun tho.
I bought this purse, and tried embroidering the gun design directly onto the purse, but with the elastic, it was very difficult to hoop. And it ended up messing up. So.......I embroidered the design onto black fabric, and made a pocket on the side of the purse, instead. It also covers up my "mess-up".

i should've taken this photo before we went to church and the linen showed it true-to-life wrinkles, but it's still adorable.
my daughter hated the linen itself, "it's gray!" and refused to wear it until i added the big pink sash. oh for crying out loud, picky picky.
this is a basic simplicity pattern that i dressed up with embroidery, bound neckline, invisible zipper closure instead of loop closure, and obviously the sash.
the poppies design in available for sale in my etsy shop
Owl Beanie! I made a hat! I'm so proud of myself.

Detail from a piece which is destined for exhibition next weekend. It will be shown at the Newman Brothers Coffin Factory in Birmingham, UK and will be entitled "A lament for an unheard voice.
My inspiration has been taken from notes found in the Shroud department where it was noted that for some burials it was required that female faces be shrouded as there was an open coffin tradition.
This piece shows two samples of machine embroidery on to one layer of felt and is quite small - the figures being less than two inches long

Don't mess with me, or I'll embroider YOUR name on him! haha
This is Urban Thread's design called "The Ex"...I think he turned out so adorable that we might get back together. haha (jk)
I changed the colors around from the original design. I also found that I like *not* embroidering the initial "border" line on the back piece. I simply lay the front piece (which has the border line sewn on it) on top of the back piece (which doesnt have the border line sewn on it), and sew along the front's border line. Then, cut it out. That way, I don't have to worry about matching the sewing on the back side.
This probably won't make sense to anyone unless you've made this little guy. :)
I had a lot of fun making him!
