My friend Courtney sent me a jacket so I could machine embroider the Dalton crest/logo thing onto it.

Brother Innovis 1200 working hard. ;) The "plastic" looking sheet thing is to keep the cloth pile down while embroidering. It is water soluable. See next photo for the motif info. ;)
After coating both sides of hand made silk paper with resin, I painted one of the dried surfaces with acyrilic paint and then gesso.
I then drew on this side with a fibre pen, and then machine embroidered on the reverse after adding a backing of calico. For a finishing touch I added acrylic ink to parts of the sketch.
Nothing special, but I think I can build on this technique
