Light and bright new fabrics and a little touch of embroidery really bring this chair back to life. I love it so much I’m going to recover all my cushions in the porch with the same fabric, and say goodbye mauve, helloo embroidery.

This shows the effect of burning a top layer of chiffon using a heat gun
( please see previous posts).
The stitch line resists the heat, so there are still remains of the chiffon in the areas which are tightly stitched.

I think I will top and tail my exhibition piece with two swags of flowers.
I have machine embroidered some flowers and I am considering hand embroidery to attach them to a lace background
First birthday quilt from overgrown baby clothes for my baby boy. Because his baby clothes were not so colorful (as his sister's were), and I had just a few embroidered and appliqued squares from the clothes themselves, I added a lot of machine embroidery and applique.
Photo is dark and blurry, it is taken by night, with a flash.
The "thing" in the middle is his name in Cyrillic ligature. It is embroidered by sewing machine, free motion style ('couse my embroidery machine has embroidery surface of only 10x10cm).

i should've taken this photo before we went to church and the linen showed its true-to-life wrinkles, but it's still adorable.
my daughter hated the linen itself, "it's gray!" and refused to wear it until i added the big pink sash. oh for crying out loud, picky picky.
this is a basic simplicity pattern that i dressed up with embroidery, bound neckline, invisible zipper closure instead of loop closure, and obviously the sash.
