Photos taken during the pandemic lockdown in 2020.

Lockdown has taken enough of my time. In the train to Amsterdam and 30 minutes later I’m wandering through a deserted town. The part of the town were people not come when the sun is down. I will show you the places I found, one every day if possible.

This lady worked in the most criminal part of our country for many, many years.

Saturday night spent playing with pics, sigh, half way there Melbourne (Lockdown)

Melbourne had endured 6 lockdown since March 2020.

Taken during the first lockdown in late Spring. I challenged myself to make the most of the woodlands within walking distance.

This has been a tough week as you may have noticed from my previous post. Not only did a parent and a best mate die, someone else I know - a lady with a young ish child also died. Three people within 4 days - nothing to do with COVID19 though. There has been so much to do - and soooooo many calls, texts and emails. It's nice to hear from people but its organisations asking for things back etc etc too. Trying to organize a funeral during the lockdown has been interesting and challenging. Everyone hopes for the proverbial "decent send off" but sadly it will be restricted to 10 but for all sorts of reasons - mainly friends and family having to self isolate it looks like it will only be 6 in attendance :-(

I needed to take a break from sending off Death Certificates and ringing people up - just for a while. It will start again first thing this morning though. My kids bought me this fantastic wooden model of a V Twin motorcycle which I started. It is so clever. Really well made, designed and thought through. It goes together without glue. It is a real challenge and quite tricky at times but it certainly took my mind off recent events for an hour or two. I am hoping to get it finished over the next week.

A selection of shots taken during my "Lockdown Challenge" to get out every day, with the camera, and take some photos of different aspects of my home area. Today is Day 17 of this challenge.

Joshua is making good progress with his flying and has a batch of lessons booked after the lockdown.

I have enjoyed taking him each morning and walking the dogs while he flies, returning to get some footage later in his lesson.

During lockdown the club have replaced the Yellow Peril Foxbat with this red version.

A very quiet Lockdown Sunday Morning in Preston

Last year I did a picture of this window with Sony a6000 (that I sold shortly after). I wasn't happy with the result from the kit lens + there was almost no light to use.

In a good conditions like Today and with a good lens like Summilux the whole scenery get a great character and particular elements pop out of the picture.

extract from the personal photoproject called "quarantine | 20"

"quarantine | 20" is a personal photographic project created during the period of isolation from covid-19. Strictly made in the home and in strictly outdoor spaces, it makes use of simple and easy to find material. Very minimalist photographic ideas to describe, tell, this decidedly anomalous historical period as it is seen through my eyes.

Loneliness, isolation, fears, needs, desire to return to the normalcy of all time. But what is normalcy?

I should be on the bluebell season shots, like every other aspiring photographer... but we are having our own experience of the Covid-19 lockdown where we at home to be part of the protection of our communities.

Some (the irresponsible ones) are violating the lockdown.

My lockdown series will be only images caught while out on 'not every day' daily exercise and macros within our curtilage.

These stunning blossoms are to be found right now at the bottom of our driveway and best imaged just before their sunset.

Yep folks, I’m at the bored sh1tless stage of lockdown, so much so that I’m having a stab at growing some chilli and radish. I know, depressing isn’t it?

Gawd know what cr@p I’ll post tomorrow ... wait and see!

"Head in the clouds

Or under the weather

Havin' your fun

With two weeks in the sun

And the rest is December

But something's appearin'

It's blurrin' your vision

And it's cuttin' a shape

Like a hot razor blade

With a deadly precision

Now you're caught in a game

You don't know how to play....."

"Attention all personnel. Security breach detected. System lockdown activated. Please contact your nearest system advisor for assistance." - "I need that door to open right now, Corporal."

Pretty much a follow up to this scene. Again inspired by Dead Space 2, even though I went for a different kind of atmosphere this time. In fact it seems reasonably closer to the daylight version of the first scene. In other news, I once again obey my tradition to finish the year with some sort of indoor scene.
