In 2021, only vaccinated people will be allowed to shop here. Even those who have been tested will have to stay outside. The Woolworth department store chain has filed a complaint against this regulation with the Higher Administrative Court for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

This photo of Belém was taken 16 years ago. There are many more high rise buildings now. On May 7 strict covid-19 lockdown begins.

A positive outcome of the lockdown is my garden

Autumn 2020...enjoying the view of the London skyline. Two chaps, red wine and chat.

Apart from fleeting dots across the local skies there's been no real chance to photograph much of interest during lockdown ......so whilst down the bottom of the garden - I heard the characteristic 'Wokka Wokka' of a Chinook approaching from the East and with my camera in the house, a bit of government approved exercise re-united me with it just as the Chopper turned up the bend in the river and managed to grab a trio of shots into sun as it flogged by.

No returns showing on ADS-B but some 10 minutes later ZH775 aka 'SHF473' showed up North of Chichester - however, a quick peruse of the images and the feint serial painted on her side revealed her as being the same airframe

Well it was different but being into sun I decided on a B&W rendition here as it's not the best of exposures

Lockdown. A word that we have all heard a thousand times over. Luckily enough, we haven’t heard it as much in my state… however this thing just has its way of finding its way back, doesn’t it?

As much as each minute or hour becomes repetitive, days and weeks blur into another… there is no question that there is an invisible force that allows you to stop, reflect and just be. Would I rather be in a foggy forest capturing its ethereal magic? Yes. Do I very much enjoy being a homebody and lounging around in my pjs all day binging every TV show possible? Also yes. And that’s okay. Everyone’s experience and feelings are different and that’s more than okay. We’re all confined behind these closed doors, but what would you see if you had the key?

Who knows if this will become a series (in all honestly I’m entering a real lazy phase and it’s only been a week ), but I wanted this piece in particular to portray the desperate need I know most of you have experienced. And that is, being cooped up for too long imagining you could be outside in a beautiful landscape somewhere enjoying nature’s beauty. I hope you all keeping safe. Back to living vicariously through various tv characters and all of your beautiful snaps! ☺️

You may be wondering what I am doing here to take this? Well, I had a job, as a contractor, arranged for this morning here at this station, so I took my camera in with me. Not that I was going to hang around taking pictures, I am at work and it would also be discourteous. Some may say taking this one is discouteous. When the job was finished, I walked back to the footbridge, I had been working inside the station building on the far end of this platform. The unit parked there struck me so that was going to be my photo, I took it and after walking a few more steps this freight arrived. I did not know it was due, I am not familiar with the traffic here and had not looked at Realtime Trains or anything like that. So here is a picture on Sheffield station, taken at work during lockdown.

Lockdown and work is a very strange place to co-exist in. At work people mix, they eat, canteens are open. Sure there is distancing, well kind of, it does not really work for a lot of work situations, and we all wear masks, well actually most who work at a fixed location don't but I do because I go all over. Really, all over, hundreds of miles every week. I service electronics and its associated software. And then you go home...

Lockdown and the lack of photographic opportunities might be starting to get to me, so I spent an evening sitting on the Utility Room floor with my camera on a tripod practically inside the washing machine. Because, well, photography. Lit with a small LED panel, space age or what?!

This castle has been a palace for some and a prison for others, To many - for life (not always ending from natural causes)...

Thought about it when 'My home is my castle' has taken a meaning not so much of a palace, but more - of a prison :( Hard to get in, hard to get out...
