If it wasn't for the trees this would really be quite an uninteresting walk as the road is dead straight for a mile.

Spring - In lockdown 2020

Taken through my bedroom window at 5.15 am

NZ is in the second day of lockdown and national emergency. Staying home is tough, but what has to be done has to be done!

Sunny for the first time in ages yet lockdown means I can't go for a drive! Could be worse, of course, but I do miss it.

Lockdown. A word that we have all heard a thousand times over. Luckily enough, we haven’t heard it as much in my state… however this thing just has its way of finding its way back, doesn’t it?

As much as each minute or hour becomes repetitive, days and weeks blur into another… there is no question that there is an invisible force that allows you to stop, reflect and just be. Would I rather be in a foggy forest capturing its ethereal magic? Yes. Do I very much enjoy being a homebody and lounging around in my pjs all day binging every TV show possible? Also yes. And that’s okay. Everyone’s experience and feelings are different and that’s more than okay. We’re all confined behind these closed doors, but what would you see if you had the key?

Who knows if this will become a series (in all honestly I’m entering a real lazy phase and it’s only been a week ), but I wanted this piece in particular to portray the desperate need I know most of you have experienced. And that is, being cooped up for too long imagining you could be outside in a beautiful landscape somewhere enjoying nature’s beauty. I hope you all keeping safe. Back to living vicariously through various tv characters and all of your beautiful snaps! ☺️

Lockdown extended by 2 weeks.Oh Yeah

We dared to crawl out of the bunker today and venture in to the city...

I was surprised to see how things had changed since the lockdown had begun.

What with the barricades, the bullet holes, the burnt out cars and the bodies in the Streets (quite possibly)

I think I'm going back under the duvet... Call me when its all over...

A selection of shots taken during my "Lockdown Challenge" to get out every day, with the camera, and take some photos of different aspects of my home area. Today is Day 17 of this challenge.

Lockdown has taken enough of my time. In the train to Amsterdam and 30 minutes later I’m wandering through a deserted town. The part of the town were people not come when the sun is down. I will show you the places I found, one every day if possible.

Taken during the first lockdown in late Spring. I challenged myself to make the most of the woodlands within walking distance.

And then it was over.

This castle has been a palace for some and a prison for others, To many - for life (not always ending from natural causes)...

Thought about it when 'My home is my castle' has taken a meaning not so much of a palace, but more - of a prison :( Hard to get in, hard to get out...

One from the early days of lockdown. graffiti, street art or social commentary? You decide.
