contribution #2 for Macro Mondays challenge fro 25/6/18, theme: "Linear Symmetry"
"Love"
Our garden is awash with jasmine, it's everywhere! While I love it the flowers aren't the interesting bit for me. What is is the leaf structure, especially when new like these delicate little gems (no, not lettuce!). Always 7 leaves in perfect symmetry and in pairs, in alternating perpendicular growth from the stem. I know there is a technical term for that but the actual botany is of no real interest to me - it's all about appearances!

Ironing is probably my least favourite task but as I was ironing school uniforms this morning I saw my image for this week. This is the top 2 1/2 inches of the iron.

Slightly weathered, damaged top of the spine of an antiquarian book (one volume of six of Gotthold Ephraim Lessing's oevre), printed and published in 1899 in Leipzig. The dainty art nouveau pattern on the book's spine is actually golden, but for better contrast against the brown leather bound back of the book I've applied an orange / brown tinting for which I started with ON1's LR presets, but still tweaked the settings in LR.
A Happy Macro Monday, Everyone!
HMM....... #macromondays #linesymmetry a possibility
this has a line of symmetry going vertically, horizontally and in both 2 diagonal directions... and it's a bit closer than printed patch1--
