while antiquing this morning in cold springs I was really taken by the reflection of the window display againts the morning light
Personally, to me car shows are all about reflections. I love the oldest rust buckets, the first 'flivers' and pre-1960 models. I love reflections in chrome - bumpers, hubcaps, windows, anything reflective.
Taken at Green Cay last year, I couldn't fit the Juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron and its reflection in the same frame, so I took 2 shots, one of the bird and the other of the reflection and merged the images in Photoshop. I just love reflections, that's why.

It is not easy to find one of these candies with clearly written letters anymore! When I was a kid they stood out clearly!
This Lesser Yellowlegs was trying to scan the waters of the pond when I snapped this image. I just love reflections.

Twizel, New Zealand, the natural beauty of this country is incredible. Driving to Lake Pukaki with Levin Barrett on his Rareview Photography tour and we were astounded by the colours of the trees.
This is an authentic Egyptian temple dating from the 2nd century BC and dedicated to the gods Amon and Isis. Following the construction of the Aswan Dam in 1960, many monuments and archaeological sites were in danger of being destroyed. UNESCO made an appeal to countries to help save these monuments, and as thanks for the aid given by Spain, particularly in helping to save the sacred buildings of Abu Simbel, the Egyptian government donated this temple to the Spanish people in 1968.
It's hard to see from there.

An early morning shot of the River Bann in Portadown. I love autumn and I love reflections in water so I was quite happy with this result.
Since everyone loves reflections I thoughts I'd take a break from the night shots and show a new photo I've not taken before, first time I've shot using a puddle near the visitor information centre, this is a panoramic made from four photos and I'm pretty sure I got strange looks from drivers as they passed whilst I was squatting near a puddle!

The beauty of winter is about isolating yourself and visiting places like the Yosemite Valley to witness these cold landscapes that give you the inner warmth you need..It was such a pretty sight to shoot the Yosemite Valley
Just a show of dominance in his territory, the male Common Gallinule chases an interloper away from his mate. The interloper seems to get away as the dominant bird stumbles on the turn. And you know I love reflections.

A simple spoon, I found this shot while uploading today's photos by pure accident. this shot taken almost exactly a year ago.
I spend so much time outdoors but once in a while the weather or some other event keeps me cooped up inside. That is when I get creative and take everyday ordinary items and see what I can do creatively to make the mundane seem interesting. I actually love reflections in a shiny silver teaspoon.

I love reflections in the sand with just a millimeter or so of water on it. The orange sky reflection in the center of the image is what I was going for until by accident I lined up the tiny channels in the sand. I think they are what makes this photo most interesting. However a really cool sunset doesn't hurt either...

This one built @ about 1978! Still in perfect working condition!
Its super large view finder puts my APS-C Pentax DSLR to a real shame!

P.S. For people who love nature, Norway’s beauty is unbelievable! It’s a fairytale! Definitely will do it a second time! Hiking and northern lights are a must! Loved every minute.
I ordered Tomorrow And Tomorrow And Tomorrow with a slow-working internet connection because a man who sat next to me on the train read it. The book came today, making me remember that moment more vividly!
*** I went to see A Big Bold Beautiful Journey film today. While I don't know if forty-two-year-old me believes in miracles, I thought to myself, maybe there's timing and sequence of events even science can not explain. I don't care what critics say; I love that film and the idea behind it!
