Taken at Green Cay last year, I couldn't fit the Juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron and its reflection in the same frame, so I took 2 shots, one of the bird and the other of the reflection and merged the images in Photoshop. I just love reflections, that's why.

“If I could live in one city and do every single thing I do there, I would choose Venice. You can’t turn your head without seeing something amazing." - Nile Rodgers
Is there a more beautiful city in the world the Venice, if yes then let me know?
It is not easy to find one of these candies with clearly written letters anymore! When I was a kid they stood out clearly!
This Lesser Yellowlegs was trying to scan the waters of the pond when I snapped this image. I just love reflections.

"L'occhio è il punto in cui si mescolano anima e corpo."

L'amore fa l'acqua buona
fa passare la malinconia
crescere i capelli l'amore fa
l'amore accarezza i figli
l'amore parla con i vecchi
qualcuno vuole bene ai piu' lontani
anche per telefono
l'amore fa guerra agli idioti
agli arroganti pericolosi
fa bellissima la stanchezza
avvicina la fortuna quando puo'
fa buona la cucina
cose che fanno ridere
l'amore fa
cose che fanno piangere
l'amore fa begli gli uomini
sagge le donne
l'amore fa
cantare le allodole
dolce la pioggia d'autunno
e vi dico che fa viaggiare, si'
illumina le strade
fa grandi le occasioni
di credere e di imparare
cose che fanno ridere
l'amore fa
cose che fanno piangere
fa crescere i gerani e le rose
aprire i balconi
l'amore fa
confondere le citta'
ma riconoscere i padroni
l'amore lo fa
aprire bene gli occhi
amare piu' se stessi
l'amore fa bene alla gente
comprendere il perdono
l'amore fa.
Twizel, New Zealand, the natural beauty of this country is incredible. Driving to Lake Pukaki with Levin Barrett on his Rareview Photography tour and we were astounded by the colours of the trees.
This is an authentic Egyptian temple dating from the 2nd century BC and dedicated to the gods Amon and Isis. Following the construction of the Aswan Dam in 1960, many monuments and archaeological sites were in danger of being destroyed. UNESCO made an appeal to countries to help save these monuments, and as thanks for the aid given by Spain, particularly in helping to save the sacred buildings of Abu Simbel, the Egyptian government donated this temple to the Spanish people in 1968.
Thanks for viewing my photos, I really appreciate you taking the time, and for the faves and comments you make thank you.
It's hard to see from there.
When my head is full of clouds, and I am among them.
It's hard to discern. Reality is perceived in a way
that is not always related to what is happening.
And then
my judgment changes
so that the results are not what I expected.
They are not always bad – but –
they are never related
to what I expected.
And who said that's not good?
Week 30/52
Hope everyone had a relaxing and safe holiday/weekend.
Just an oldie from the archive. I just love this building :D It seems like I haven't uploaded anything in a while and haven't found the time to upload new photos from my camera onto my computer.
Well, back to school but I'll my best to catch up throughout the day or two
Have enjoy the week ahead!
This was a just for fun picture. I love reflections and this small area of the fishing area in the San Luis NWR was protected from the wind. If you look closely, you can see that a couple of people need some casting practice. This area looks like it would be a great place to fish. The water isn't moving too fast and there are a lot of trees along the banks for the fish to get away from the Central Valley heat. Next time I come here I'll probably pack a fishing pole too.
I DO love reflections and really like the look of the edge of this pool with the ladder reflected. Essesnce of summer- well... SUBURBAN summer, anyway ;-)
Love reflections like this in a forest with the lovely green colors.
Shot with the Nikon D7000 and the Nikon 18-55mm vr2 lens.
The Lesser Yellowlegs is one of the different varieties of birds we saw when we went to the flooded agricultural fields of Palm Beach County. And I love reflections. EXP
Best viewed large on black.
March '95. I would have loved reflections, but felt the sky was strong enough even without.

The beauty of winter is about isolating yourself and visiting places like the Yosemite Valley to witness these cold landscapes that give you the inner warmth you need..It was such a pretty sight to shoot the Yosemite Valley
Personally, to me car shows are all about reflections. I love the oldest rust buckets, the first 'flivers' and pre-1960 models. I love reflections in chrome - bumpers, hubcaps, windows, anything reflective.

A simple spoon, I found this shot while uploading today's photos by pure accident. this shot taken almost exactly a year ago.
I spend so much time outdoors but once in a while the weather or some other event keeps me cooped up inside. That is when I get creative and take everyday ordinary items and see what I can do creatively to make the mundane seem interesting. I actually love reflections in a shiny silver teaspoon.

I love reflections in the sand with just a millimeter or so of water on it. The orange sky reflection in the center of the image is what I was going for until by accident I lined up the tiny channels in the sand. I think they are what makes this photo most interesting. However a really cool sunset doesn't hurt either...

I love this song and I love reflections so this is the result, this is a bit real and a bit fake but Lassie is true!

Dog’s mirror is water, I thought they could choose something natural to reflect their natural beauty!
