The blue sky and lovely fall colors are behind us now. Colorful water reflections will be difficult to find.

The largest of the South East Northumberland subsidence ponds and one of the largest bodies of open water within the area; the site has surrounding fen and carr. The pond formed in the 1920's as a result of mining subsidence

My last minute Christmas greetings to all my dear Flickr friends!
Reflection of Christmas trees in Richmond City Hall taken this morning.

I had my tripod shown in the reflection too! :o(
I think I have uploaded this before in another crop. But I saw it again tonight, and realised how much I love it!
I remember this being a warm night. Which I am in tonight. Summer is here as it was 35 degrees today which makes me look forward to these nights down the beach again. I love reflections and the beach here is just right for them.
I hope everyone is well. Going to europe and coming back has made me realise just how incredibly remote we are here in South Australia (look up adelaide on google earth) and it makes me think about you all (well everyone outside adelaide) and how things are there. Things seem to be turning a bit pear shaped, or just not getting much better with the economy and all. The stress this can cause in our lives in incredible. I only hope that if you, or your families are being affected that you stay close and keep it together!
Be Strong!

Personally, to me car shows are all about reflections. I love the oldest rust buckets, the first 'flivers' and pre-1960 models. I love reflections in chrome - bumpers, hubcaps, windows, anything reflective.
Taken at Green Cay last year, I couldn't fit the Juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron and its reflection in the same frame, so I took 2 shots, one of the bird and the other of the reflection and merged the images in Photoshop. I just love reflections, that's why.

L'amore fa l'acqua buona
fa passare la malinconia
crescere i capelli l'amore fa
l'amore accarezza i figli
l'amore parla con i vecchi
qualcuno vuole bene ai piu' lontani
anche per telefono
l'amore fa guerra agli idioti
agli arroganti pericolosi
fa bellissima la stanchezza
avvicina la fortuna quando puo'
fa buona la cucina
cose che fanno ridere
l'amore fa
cose che fanno piangere
l'amore fa begli gli uomini
sagge le donne
l'amore fa
cantare le allodole
dolce la pioggia d'autunno
e vi dico che fa viaggiare, si'
illumina le strade
fa grandi le occasioni
di credere e di imparare
cose che fanno ridere
l'amore fa
cose che fanno piangere
fa crescere i gerani e le rose
aprire i balconi
l'amore fa
confondere le citta'
ma riconoscere i padroni
l'amore lo fa
aprire bene gli occhi
amare piu' se stessi
l'amore fa bene alla gente
comprendere il perdono
l'amore fa.
Twizel, New Zealand, the natural beauty of this country is incredible. Driving to Lake Pukaki with Levin Barrett on his Rareview Photography tour and we were astounded by the colours of the trees.
It's hard to see from there.
When my head is full of clouds, and I am among them.
It's hard to discern. Reality is perceived in a way
that is not always related to what is happening.
And then
my judgment changes
so that the results are not what I expected.
They are not always bad – but –
they are never related
to what I expected.
And who said that's not good?
while antiquing this morning in cold springs I was really taken by the reflection of the window display againts the morning light

The Lesser Yellowlegs is one of the different varieties of birds we saw when we went to the flooded agricultural fields of Palm Beach County. And I love reflections. EXP
Best viewed large on black.
Just a show of dominance in his territory, the male Common Gallinule chases an interloper away from his mate. The interloper seems to get away as the dominant bird stumbles on the turn. And you know I love reflections.
