As I'm travelling to Sussex today, I thought I'd put a couple of shots of a recent night down the coast! This was a high tide reflection shot, of the salt marsh area where the river Ogmore reaches the sea. It always fills with water on a spring tide. I love reflections! Roll river roll , is a beautiful song by Ricard Hawley, and is perfect!

"WIARTON, Ont. - Canada's foremost furry forecaster, Wiarton Willie, saw his shadow this morning as he emerged from his den.
According to tradition, Willie's glimpsing of his shadow means there will be another six weeks of winter. Not seen his shadow would have meant an early spring."
boohoo!
To close the concept: what's best than waiting the rising of the summer stars with the right one? That's fine, but remember: starry nights do not show their best at sea level.
Good for love, but not to let your deepest astral thoughts arise :)
I posted an image like this before...but at different times the reflection would be clearer and I think this was about the calmest this water was while I was here...I love reflections!
Have a wonderful day all...one more day off...they sure go fast! :P
Swinging Bridge is a popular destination in Yosemite Valley for swimming while having a great frontal view of Yosemite Falls. The land in the area resembles that of a beach.

I made a promise to myself that I would not photograph this Scottish icon - however it just begs for it every time I drive past, and I love reflections. I've now got an ever growing collection of images of this castle. Well worth the small entrance fee to look around the interior.
Comments and critiques most welcome.
As always best viewed large on black.
I absolutely love reflections in abandoned places & this flooded corridor of an abandoned school had some of the best I have photographed in a while!

Well, Kevan is at a seminar today so I get to pick the image of the day. Since I really love reflections - this had to be the one. If you view LARGE, you can see the "ring" around the neck. The image was taken at the Viera Wetlands near Cape Canaveral. Hope you like it too. Linda

Just because the tracks come to an end doesn't mean the journey has to
Where: Sweden, Östergötland, Linköping
When: 20100411
How and why: Love tracks of all kinds, love reflections... Got close to the water to allow the reflections to take as much part as the sky. A central composition and a symmetrical result seemed to emphasize the scene. A circular polarizing filter made sure I got the most of the reflections.
Editing: HDR tone mapped, contrast adjustments.
I love reflections! I see them where many people don't. I spotted the reflection of this water lily immediately and was flat on my belly trying this angle and that angle. I love how the ripples seem to add a watercolor painting effect.
