I will not be shaken from this faith. I will fight.

This is a project that I'm doing with Kelly about the first days after university graduation. I am supposedly an adult now. I don't know what that looks like, but maybe over the course of the next two months, I will find out.

(one)

I just love reflection photos, so when I saw the beach reflecting Moby I decided to use of of them for this weeks 52 weeks shot.

At the end of day 2, we found ourselves too close to NYC to pass up. Google Maps provided a few really fantastic spots to view the Big Apple from the Jersey side of the Hudson river. Fortunately for us, the recent snow (and the need for snow removal) forced a gated community to be wide open for two opportunistic photographers. I love reflections on water and foreground elements that anchor views even more.

Not much darkness left here, and about one month until the midnight sun shines 24/7 for about two months.

So i took a chanse last night and went out. The auroras was not so very strong to begin with. Since i just love reflections, the ocean and auroras it was well spent hours out in the cold in my opinion.

I love reflections. On the corner of Via Fiume and the Piazza della Frutta is a pretty gallery. On the Sunday we were there, not many stalls were open but there were still a few shops willing to cater the tourists in historic Padua.

I entered a competition with Adidas and I need YOUR VOTES, takes 3seconds.

Feel free to comment on the photo too, would appreciate it loads x

Another one from last weekend on the banks of the River Severn. I love reflections.

This was taken on a Worldwide Photo Walk at Lynx Lake in Prescott, Arizona. It had been raining from the time the photo walk was supposed to start, and my friend and I were ready to pack up our gear, when the sun came out briefly. I love reflections and abstract color, so this was right up my alley.

A rusty chromed ball in a garden of the Zuiderzeemuseum can make a world of difference.

You know I like it shiny and that I love reflections, so this one made my day.

Hope you have a great week my friends!

St. Pancras railway station is a major railway station opened in 1868, celebrated for its architecture, located between the British Library and King's Cross station, London.

The complex was renovated, expanded and reopened, branded St. Pancras International, with a new security-sealed terminal area for Eurostar trains to continental Europe.

The reflection is of the top part of 'The Meeting Place', a 9m high bronze sculpture of a couple locked in an intimate pose by the world renowned sculptor Paul Day.

Iceland, a Nordic island nation, is defined by its dramatic landscape with volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and lava fields. Massive glaciers are protected in Vatnajökull and Snæfellsjökull national parks. Most of the population lives in the capital, Reykjavik, which runs on geothermal power and is home to the National and Saga museums, tracing Iceland’s Viking history. Iceland is it the most sparsely populated country in Europe.

I love reflections, especially when there is some nice texture from the rocks in this puddle. There were a lot of nice lines and shapes presented here, removing the color feels like it brought them out more.

This is a more painterly version of a picture I took yesterday while on a walk with the Pacific Photographic Society at the docks of Shelter Island in San Diego. I love reflections for their abstract shapes and color, and I decided to play with some of the artistic effect filters in both Photoshop CC and Nik software. I took watercolor classes for years after I retired, and while I was never much good at creating watercolor paintings, I love the style and look of that style of painting.

Other picture that I've had the poor taste or judgement to mess with in Photoshop can be seen in my Photoshopped set. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157604211983504/

As the sun sets on www.picnik.com today, I thought I'd dedicate this image to the fine folks who have developed and maintained it. I've really enjoyed using it, and was going to purchase an account when they announced that it would be shut down on April 9. Special thanks to my Flickr friend Stephen in Scotland who introduced me to it. It was the first editor that I used when I started uploading images to Flickr. Although I now use Lightroom 4 for editing RAW images, I still have enjoyed using Picnik for some special effects, adding my signature and borders. It has been a great online service and very easy to use.

This is a shot of a sunset over the San Pablo Bay, which is at the northern end of the San Francisco Bay. The confluence of the Mare Island Strait and the Carquinez Strait is in the foreground. It was taken on Feb 20 from the shoreline beneath Crystal Pointe in Vallejo, California. (IMG_6185 LR4p)
