SE Predaj, dcérska spoločnosť Slovenských elektrární, modernizovala verejné osvetlenie obce Štitáre neďaleko Nitry. S využitím 67 moderných svietidiel Archilede HP 24 LED od renomovaného výrobcu Enel Sole má nový systém verejného osvetlenia o 63 % nižšiu spotrebu elektriny oproti pôvodnému stavu. Súčasťou modernizačného balíčka je okrem technického riešenia aj servis, údržba a dodávka elektrickej energie. Komplexné riešenie je financované z úspor dosiahnutých nižšou spotrebou elektriny. Ide o tzv. ESCO (Energy Service Company) projekt.

The first digital watch I owned, back in 1975 or so, had a display similar to this only smaller and simpler. Modern LED displays have chunky, diffuse segments shaped like those in the diagram in this picture, or the displays in this one. This kind of display has little glowing filaments instead. The digits are tiny, so the package includes a magnifying lens over each one.
I'm excited to get these fired up. Their look is very retro-LED and to my little kid 1970s eyes they were magical.
Not sure when this one was manufactured - the only marking on it that resembles a date code implies that it was made in late 1992, which is possible but doesn't sound right.
Can't wait to go out tonight and have a play with it.
Just need to be careful where I use this around me, otherwise i'll have the North Wales Mountain Rescue out! Not to mention the locals thinking there's a UFO on the hills lol

For those who don't know, this torch is widely known to be the brightest torch available! It has 7 individual lamps on the front which gives off an enormous 1000 lumens! It's enough to make your car headlights look dim!!!

This test board for the micro-readerboard has the 17-segment LED display (socketed) on one side, and a 20-pin DIP ZIF socket on the other side. This allows one to quickly swap out the chip, and to swap out the display if needed. A 2xAA battery box powers the system.
