Light painting.

PCB for Cree led flash module. Inside the opening for the Mitutoyo 10X lens. The 12 power leds are not solderd but connected via 24 x M2 brass screws which press on the led contacts. I can even modify LED types with the same module. Soon there will be another picture where the LEDs are mounted.
The 12 LEDs are divided into 6 groups. Each time there are two LEDs connected together on the PCB. LEDs shine through the 12 holes of 8mm diameter each. Each group can be controlled separately. The direction and amount of light may be a result set.
After a Plank's Constant Determination lab in AP Physics B, I decided to experiment with the various diodes in the kit and the camera. After seeing how well the infrared diode is seen by the camera, I turned on the really quite bright ~505nm LED (a turquoise-green color) and pointed my camera into it. This is the result.
Note that the picture is out of focus, since the LED was so bright compared to the surroundings that it confused the hell out of the camera's autofocus, and the diode was too bright to look at even through the viewfinder for me to manually focus the camera (it didn't occur to me at the time that my green laser safety goggles would probably have helped).
Just some test shots with a new 10 watt LED! It's soooooooo bright! :) I need to set up a deep cityscape to show it off properly.
I used the lower LED as a tripod for the upper LED as part of the setup for this ring light illustrative image.

The red LED in the helmet area provide additional warning to the crewmember in case of problems with ventilation, oxygen supply or battery power.

An ATtiny13 uses PWM to fade 12 0603 surface mount green LEDs in and out, suspended from the PCB inside a jam jar. The ATtiny13 picks a random LED to flash each time, flashes it once, twice or three times randomly, then waits a random amount of time before flashing the next one. An incrementing counter is stored in EEPROM and used to seed the random number generator, leading to a different sequence each time the device is powered up via the switch mounted on the top. The LEDs are arranged in a standard 3x2 matrix which gives 6 LEDs, and for each position there is a second LED in reverse. The two column controllers are PB0 and PB1 as they can do PWM - another two LEDs could be added between PB0 and PB1 (and were on the prototype) but made the PCB design needlessly more complex: 12 is more than enough!

This is the copper-clad circuit board that the 128 LEDs are mounted to. The small board at the bottom is the circuit that rectifies the AC power and generates a constant current for each string of 32 LEDs.

S využitím 67 moderných svietidiel Archilede HP 24 LED od renomovaného výrobcu Enel Sole má nový systém verejného osvetlenia o 63 % nižšiu spotrebu elektriny oproti pôvodnému stavu. Súčasťou modernizačného balíčka je okrem technického riešenia aj servis, údržba a dodávka elektrickej energie. Komplexné riešenie je financované z úspor dosiahnutých nižšou spotrebou elektriny. Ide o tzv. ESCO (Energy Service Company) projekt.
