Carl Gustav Jung
Translated from German
Book: The Red Book
“My soul leads me into the desert, into the desert of my own self.
I did not think that my soul is a desert, a barren, hot desert, dusty and without drink.
The journey leads through hot sand, slowly wading without a visible goal to hope for?
How eerie is this wasteland. It seems to me that the way leads so far away from mankind.
I take my way step by step, and do not know how long my journey will last.
Why is my self a desert?
Have I lived too much outside of myself in men and events?
Why did I avoid my self? Was I not dear to myself?
But I have avoided the place of my soul.
I was my thoughts, after I was no longer events and other men.
But I was not my self, confronted with my thoughts.
I should also rise up above my thoughts to my own self.
My journey goes there, and that is why it leads away from men and events into solitude.
Is it solitude, to be with oneself? Solitude is true only when the self is a desert.”

...leads Glenville to a 31-17 victory over Massillon at the University of Akron in the state semi-finals.
Jones passed for 199 yards and ran for 140 in the victory.
Glenville gave Massillon 11 points, and Massillon could not move the ball on Glenville's D. I wasn't impressed with Massillon at all. Solon and Iggy were much better teams IMO.

The score leads from the eastern side of Gorleston High Street down to the riverside and was used from 1862 until 1903 by the crews of fishing vessels belonging to the Short Blue Fleet owned by the Hewett family. The Hewetts were deep sea fishermen (cod, haddock, plaice etc) and were originally based at Barking near London. Barking was one of the largest fishing ports in England during the nineteenth century. But with the arrival of the railway at Great Yarmouth in the mid-1800s, Samuel Hewett saw the opportunity to land fish at Yarmouth and the possibility of quickly transporting the catches to Billingsgate fish market in London by train. The name of the Barking Smack public house on Marine Parade, Great Yarmouth serves as a reminder of the days when the men of Barking were landing fish on Yarmouth beach in the 1840s. It is believed that the Short Blue Fleet at its height, owned the largest fleet in the world, with 220 vessels.
Ice Houses, a dry dock and a wharf were constructed on the Gorleston side of the River Yare, many families left Barking and moved to Gorleston permanently. The Short Blue Fleet employed nearly two thousand people at sea and on the shore at Gorleston in the mid 1890s but by 1903 the business had closed. Fortunately, the herring fishing industry was just beginning to expand and most of the buildings found new uses and many of the workforce managed to find employment.

UNMISS Civil Affairs Division leads a conflict resolution roundtable discussion at the Gun cattle camp in Marial-bek, with support from the UNMISS Lakes State Coordinator’s Office, RRP, PIO, and the Nepalese Battalion, who provided force protection.
The group met with the Ruop section of the Agar clan of the Dinka tribe, who have been in conflict with the neighboring Kuei (also part of the Agar clan) since 2007. Since the inciting incident of their conflict, seven peace initiatives have been undertaken by the Ruop and Kuei communities. In line with the traditional justice system, blood compensation (a system which calls for financial reimbursement for those killed, usually paid to relatives of the victims) was paid each time. However, even when peace has been achieved, it has been broken, most often in instances of isolated killings fueled by revenge.
In recent clashes the Kuei have joined with the Pakam (another section of the Agar clan), also in conflict with the Ruop at various times, to fight against the Ruop. The most recent large clash occurred on March 15th near Marial-bek and left over 100 people dead. This was closely followed by a night-time killing within the Gun cattle camp carried out by the Pakam, which the Ruop responded to by ambushing the roads to Pakam.
The UNMISS Civil Affairs Division in Lakes State has been holding meetings with the various groups to hear their grievances and to discuss solutions to the cycle of violence. In this, their third visit to the Gun cattle camp, the primary purpose was to provide feedback from other consultations that have been undertaken with the Kuei and Pakam, as well as the with the government. The Ruop provided the Civil Affairs Divison with their own feedback as well, and suggested discussion items for future meetings.
