Here is a view of the updated kitchen. The glass was added to the old cupboards and they were 'antiqued'. Also, the dishwasher was just installed.

I know it looks kind of dark here, but the light looked so nice in my kitchen this afternoon, I just had to snap a few photos. I spend so much time in here that it has to be a cheerful place and I've made it as welcoming and cozy to me as possible.

 

We had friends coming today, so we straightened up a bit. I was just admiring how the towels matched the pineapple and the papaya on the counter. You probably can't see that. But stuff like that makes me happy for some silly reason. :)

Students may also use the kitchen to make a tea or coffee for free.

Since the last photos, the counters have been added (in addition to some electrical, plumbing and detail work). We're thrilled with the results so far and can see the completion of the project coming up!

 

About all that's left here is the backsplash in the kitchen.

At the right of this photo you can see the second prep sink, an invaluable feature for any large party. The door leads to a dramatic powder room.

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN - This is a vintage cabinet which we restored and re-painted in one of our fave color combos. It sold before we could really photograph it. The only solution to disappointments like this is for you to come shop here more often.
