this is the kitchen....we used to have a much bigger table but the old table was put in a place where it could be recycled.....it was not very good to have because the legs were not stable and the table were shaking when using knife and fork and a glas of wine would shake and maybe spill over the edge...so the table had to go.....and we had a smaller table though it is too small for 4 persons really...for some dinner...so we have to find some new table...
the white sofa was one I found that some people would get rid of... and I found it......the two chairs with ochre coloured cushions was found in a summerhouse I was an owner of years ago...the sideboard is a gift from friends and we are very happy for it....a smaller cupboard on the wall for diffrent glass is one Orla bought many years ago.....the small but higher table in the corner is bought in IKEA and was very cheap...we use it for the lamp and for newspapers and magazines....and the phone....

Remnants of a rustic kitchen inside a house just off the main road in the old ghost town of Comet MT. This place was not built for tall people, as the doorway in the background must be only six feet at best.

Awesome kitchen. Just wish they had a nice fridge to stage with. You know we don't get a lot of very good weather with good light here in the NW. It's nice when that happens.
This was shot with a 9 exposure blend and a simple flash pop above camera. (580ex).
Still going quickly. Each piece is chosen to blend in perfectly with the rest of the floor and a lot of attention is paid to where the seams are.

A very well-stocked kitchen. There’s a dishwasher, a double oven—with a stove that gets hot quite fast—plenty of fridge and freezer space, a nice kettle, and a washer and dryer!
If you like the use of natural stone on each element in the house, you can also apply it to the kitchen. Natural stone has a very diverse types. Some types better suited installed on your outdoors, because of the shape and surface factors. But there are also kinds which are very beautifully...

Oh, how I love my new Capital range. Old house renos often come with bad surprises. I lucked out with a good one, finding a capped-off but still connected gas pipe in the corner of the room behind the old cabinets. Goodbye electric, we're cooking with gas!
5 exposure HDR photomatix. I was not able to get a good angle on this kitchen due to the hight of the counters so I used them to my advantage. I took the camera off the tri-pod and balanced it on the counter for this shot.

A flat grinding stone called Ammi and Kuzhavi in a house in Bamabalapitty.It is made of granite.Ammi and Kuzhavi is a common kitchen gadget of every Tamil household in Sri Lanka. It's used to grind sambols, chutneys and curry pastes.
Ammi plays an impoartant role in the rituals of a Hindu marriage, which is known as Ammi Mithiththal. The bride and bridegroom go around the sacred fire seven times known as Sapthapathi, after tying the Thaali. Then the bridegroom takes hold of the right foot of the bride and makes her take seven consecutive steps, and places the foot of the bride on the Ammi, and wears a silver ring called Minji on her second toe. The same steps are followed to wear a Minji on the left foot of the bride.It indicates she be as strong and steadfast as the stone in the face of adversity. Afterwards the couple looks at the twin star Arunthathy which represents the ideal of a married life or Thampaththya Uravu.
