I bought the IKEA table off of craigslist. Great buy. And the chairs I picked up new at IKEA this weekend. The milk bottle is from ebay.

The stove is just to the left inside, facing the frig. The floor space is about 3x5 feet. The pantry is outside the kitchen proper, to the left. The corner upper cabinets are pretty much blocked by the stove (left) and frig (right).

After months of research, we decided to paint our oak kitchen cabinets. We installed a new ceiling light, new hardware on kitchen doors and painted the walls.also in the process of installing a new counter top and sink.

I was walking out of the kitchen when I noticed the light from the window hitting the shelf. I thought it would be a interesting photo.
i made the head dress for my little doll, and the cupcake's are fake, the beautiful cigar jar was an op shop find.
The kitchen is very white - and plain. And I don't want to dust fake foliage - which is what most put up there. So I settled on cookbooks. (Even though I will have to get the stepladder out to reach them - now they are decoration as well as food for thought.)
I'm putting up some pictures of my new apartment for my family to take a look at.

The kitchen! Except for the stove, everything affixed to a wall or ceiling is brand-spankin' new. As in only 6-months new!
The rug used to be in the office of the old house. There's already carpeting in the new office, so we've put here to designate the eat-in area of the kitchen.
Not sure where to put my bike yet...Seriously lacking in storage space.
These photos are a bad representation of my new place! I went there yesterday and today to check out stuff that the former tenant left behind. He left a HUGE MESS as you can see in these photos. So much stuff (mostly papers and useless junk) that you can barely see the floor. I went to see if there was anything that I could salvage for myself. I got mostly stuff that can be used for photography lighting (diffusion, panels, effects, etc), building things that I'll need in my studio, and lots of shelves. The owner and his son have been cleaning the place and fixing everything that's broken. They're really friendly and want to make me happy so that's good. They're having a removal service come tomorrow to remove the junk that's left behind.
They'll be a lot of changes that I'll be making to the place on my own as well. Especially the paint and that ugly drop ceiling.
More photos will come throughout the month as changes are made! But here's a very rough idea of what the place looks like. It's two floors in a warehouse. Each floor is about 800-900 sq ft. One floor is a living space with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room, and sunroom/guest room. The other floor is a big space that's divided into two rooms where I'll have my photo studio.
