where too many cooks didn't spoil the broth

Kitchen remodel back in 1995

The house is really, really great. Plenty of space for me to watch TV. Note the stuffed deer above the fireplace. Style.

The kitchen is pretty big. It's hard to fit it into the frame. So much storage!

I'm using this photo to highlight a kitchen project, that's design, hand-making and then installing the kitchen. I've embedded a slideshow of photos in my blog so you can see how the project took shape.

Yes, I DO have a lot of junk...and I really have gotten rid of a lot!!!

But--Bob made the rooster by hand. And the plate on the wall is very very old, andI've enjoyed for ages.

The faux cake is handmade and used to be a display in a bakery!!

You'll never see it this tidy again. This is our kitchen before we moved in. It's galley style, with the fridge behind Vic, the microwave in the corner, the clothes washer (near his knees), sink, gas cooktop/ovens, and dishwasher. The clothes dryer is across the hall, in a closet.

This room is for doing laundry and ironing.

Countertops will be replaced with Zodiaq and backsplash with slate

Really the kitchen seems a little bigger to me in real life than it looks in the pictures.
