I'm putting up some pictures of my new apartment for my family to take a look at.
This is the kitchen. Dishwasher! Yay! Notice Pat, Dad, and Anita on the fridge? hehe!

The kitchen! Except for the stove, everything affixed to a wall or ceiling is brand-spankin' new. As in only 6-months new!
The rug used to be in the office of the old house. There's already carpeting in the new office, so we've put here to designate the eat-in area of the kitchen.
Not sure where to put my bike yet...Seriously lacking in storage space.
The kitchen that has to go, oven that no longer lights, particle board cabinets that are deteriorating, dishwasher dead & already recycled, floor that can't be cleaned. I won't miss this!

At this point we have most of the tile down and cabinets installed. (The lights are installed now, I shoulda turned them on!)
Well my kitchen is crazy right now. Half the roof is down (replacing plumbing in the upstairs bathroom. A whole new ceiling is going up and new lights. Some of the walls have been primed out, the doors will be primed out this weekend. I found a vintage 1950's cupboard with counter to replace an existing one and the sink cupboards will just be plain white ones very minimal but high gloss.) The sink will be a double farmers sink with high chrome taps and that counter will be wood. The temporary pantry I am going to paint red and install some chrome vintage handles. (this is a temporary solution until I can afford a full on pantry. The walls will be light turquoise and the trim plain white. The floors need to be redone, area rugs gone. The list just goes on and on. Fridge and stove are new and staying, as will the microwave but in a different location (shelf above stone) I am doing open upper shelves, with pipe detailing added around them (painted white or red) for a totally different look.
Found this trippy kitchen while exploring this big abandoned building. The air was thick with mold so had to make the visit short.

I could desat the blues a bit more (like on the floor lower left), but sometimes that leaves a bleached out area that doesn't look natural. Any suggestions for this?
I shot this for an architect/designer team who told me the homeowner's inspiration for this kitchen was the Venetian Casino in Las Vegas. No clouds painted on the ceiling though. :)
C&C welcome.
