Vinyl kitchen splashback by interiorstickers.co.uk/. Wall graphics for the splash wall of a kitchen countertop should ideally be stuck on plastic prior to putting it on the wall.
I enjoy the view from the kitchen. The light here is wonderful in Winter and the sun is high enough in Summer to make the awnings unnecessary. Really like green and white.

I was heading out of the house to make some photographs. Before I left, I was packing up my cameras and lenses. On a whim, I thought I'd grab a photo of the kitchen towel hanging on our oven. As luck would have it, this ended up being the photo I liked best of all I took during the day.
As usual, the breakfast bar and counter are full of stuff. The Jenn-Air stove works well, but the downdraft vent is noisy.

The kitchen that enabled Jefferson to go broke entertaining his many visitors at Monticello. Note the four burners on the left, not quite a Viking model. The pots and pans are copper, since it was either that or cast iron. The cooks were trained in French cuisine and often had the last name "Hemmings".
Kitchen at Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site outside of La Junta, Colorado. There were several cooks but the most popular was William Bent's slave, Charlotte Green. Archeological deposits uncovered include wild game such as duck, turkey, pronghorn, venison, and buffalo. The ledgers of Bent, St. Vrain and Company of 1839 included flour, dried peaches, cheese, rice, almonds, raisins, 1,190 pounds of bacon sides, and 2 barrels of pork in addition to large amounts of coffee, tea, sugar, salt, molasses, and produce from New Mexico.
Originally built in 1833 by Charles and William Bent and Ceran St. Vrain. It became one of the significant centers of fur trade on the Santa Fe Trail. Due to its location on an established road, the fort paved the way for the occupation of the west by the U.S. Army and was an instrument of Manifest Destiny and the invasion of Mexico in 1846. By 1849 the trade that made the fort prosper was deteriorating. Due to cholera William Bent supposedly tried to burn down the fort in 1849. In the early 1850s Bent constructed Bent's New Fort 40 miles downriver at Big Timbers, near present day Lamar, Colorado. The present fort was reconstructed in 1976 using archeological excavations and original sketches, paintings and diaries. It is on both the National Register of Historic Places and National Historic Landmark Lists.
