We removed the half wall between the dining room and kitchen and put a brand new peninsula in its place.
Shot for Macro Mondays. This is a strange sort of spoon especially designed for picking spaghetti out of a pan. A gift from my brother, rarely used…..
This shot was a little wider but I cropped it down as it was just blank cabinet space. I still think there is a bit too much bench space in this composition. I didn't deliver this one to the client as I was overly happy with it.
1 mostly ambient with a little flash CR to fill in shadows.
1 flash from for window pull and colour correction.
CC Welcome!
Another great kitchen project by Grassroots Design & Build. Shooting it was tight, with a wall directly behind me and the separation of the rooms prohibiting me from going back fruther. This is a 3-image panorama taken with Canon's 24mm Æ’/3.5 L TS-E.

After an addition and remodel this kitchen tripled in size. Custom made cabinets, cherry wood with white melamine interior. Self closing drawers, and soft close doors. Knobs and drawer pulls from Berenson. Golden Crystal Granite, with full height granite splash. Tile laid in an offset pattern
In the image is a custom made island made from reclaimed then milled antique wood, new appliances installed, granite counter-tops, tile floor and back-splash and new windows.
Single shot, YN560 CL CW, YN560 far CR CW, YN560 on floor between island and cabinets.
I've been working on toning down my exposures. A lot of my shots tend to be on the brighter side, and sometimes parts of the images get washed out. I liked how this image turned out, though not sure if it needs a little bit of contrast in some areas.
I also decided to crop some images like this since some clients want wider shots. I think this crop gives that sense of "wideness" without actually shooting it too wide. It's been positively receptive, so may stick to this cropping for certain comps.
Comments always welcome.
1/6 scale Kitchens in the works. Soooo many parts to cut, figured I might as well make 2 of them at the same time. Basically making a copy of my real kitchen that you see in the background of allot of my photo using a 1/6 scale converter I found on line. Looks good with 12" Builder Bob, should be fine for lanky Fashion Royalty girls too.
Small but functional. I love not having the sink RIGHT next to the stove. That was a really awkward space in our old house. It has a deceptively large amount of cupboard space to boot. We still have a couple of completely empty cupboards.
