4 exposure fuse Photomatix,ps. This house was a royal PITA. between the bad floor plan and the homeowners clutter I couldn't get the angles I really needed.
Single ambient blended with single flash. Ceiling bounce x2 camera right, slight ceiling bounce for fill camera left.
One of the better kitchens I've shot in a while. Been getting a lot of low-end stuff lately.
Staging was done by the Realtor while I was there, so I just left it the way she had it.
Single Exposure:
3 strobes FAR CL. 2 bounced off reflectors, 1 STU.
1 strobe in Far Room CL STU
All strobes were gelled at Full CTO.
This was a kitchen remodel in a 1920s bungalow, shot for a builder. It was a pretty small kitchen. This was one of the two 'main' shots of the space (the other was a 1PP taken from the opposite direction). One of the features that my client added to the space was the arched pass-through. We'd gotten a shot of it from the dining room, looking in towards the kitchen, but I also wanted to capture it from the kitchen. Tried multiple angles - including a 1PP - but this was the one that seemed to work best. Had to strain a bit to pull the pass-through into view...not an angle I would normally go for :)
Blended a couple of frames together in PS. Some flash was bounced off the ceiling near the camera.
Client actually liked seeing some of the red brick from the house next door, so left that window not-totally-blown.

I love the northern exposure in front of the sink and simply can't bring myself to add curtains. My favorite thing that I've added to the kitchen is the glass swivel soap dispenser next to the sink. I saw an original glass one at an antique store in the Netherlands years ago but didn't buy it. It's the one that got away, so to speak, but a few years ago, my sister and husband conspired to find me a reproduction and I absolutely love it!
