"Hey, That Kitchen Is a Bit Small"
My building is "L" shaped and my theory is that the architect started designing the apartments at the other end of the floor and when he got to this end, it was "oops, I ran out of room....oh well". It actually works really well, except this is a two bedroom apartment, and the second largest floor plan so having a kitchen the same size as a one bedroom or studio is not optimal for rental pricing. As a result, I pay the exact same rent as the two bedroom next door, which has 160 less square feet, but a kitchen twice as big as mine. Yay me!!
In case you couldn't tell, this building was renovated into apartments in the late 1980's. Was it a requirement that all apartments done during this time period have these white cabinets with the oak trim???? Of the last 4 places I have lived, three had these exact same cabinets. I always feel at home no matter where I live, because the kitchen always looks the same!

From the 2010 Tunica Show, this spacious kitchen highlights the contrast between light and dark. Single exposure, 4 SB-80s: One CR (I think it was STU); one on floor below sink, bounced off stainless dishwasher (client didn't want to show stainless appliances; they were old and in poor shape); one bounced off peaked ceiling through doorway, to the left; one on floor bounced out of far left corner (where fridge would be). This one turned out to be unnecessary and I meant to turn it off, but forgot...it's adding very little, other than a reflection :-)

The feature I love least about our home is the kitchen sink. Now the tap is broken. The landlord is coming to take a look. Hopefully he will see the necessity to replace the whole rotten counter, but I'm not optimistic.
Update at 5:48 pm: Thanks largely to our neighbour from the next unit, who offered to help (inexpensively) the landlord with the repair, and who doesn't take s*** from anyone, we have a brand new countertop. Now he's installing the old sink with a new faucet.
