a small window that frames the view nicely.
exposure for the window
exposure with a 580 CL, a 430 high CR and another 430 far CL
3 exposures fused
put together in PS
shot with a 5d mkii and a 24 mm TS mkii
SB800 CL shot through 43" umbrella, SB600 handheld with GF Light Sphere pointed toward the cabinets on right, SB80 behind the vase on the counter to light the nook in the background and another SB80 on the desk (hidden in the nook around the corner from the baker's rack) to help illuminate the nook.
Single exposure, 3 SB-80s: STU CL; STU in doorway just beyond refrigerator; on floor bounced into cupboards on other side of wood counter (too hot, and not sure it was even necessary)
Comp was largely dictated by the children's drawings on fridge, which client wasn't comfortable removing but also didn't want in the shot. Not liking the position of the barstools :-) Did I go a little too heavy on the foreground light? Should I have powered the near STU down slightly, and gone with a little more power on the far STU?
Appreciate any and all feedback...thanks!

In a large space less imposing kitchen pieces from another furniture maker would appear lost. The scale and proportions of each item remain in harmony with the space.

This house was extremely hard to shoot due to the wall and ceiling colors being so dark. This shot had a big window to the right....but the ambient light really stopped at about the over and became a freaking cave to the left. What would you guys have done to make this better?
I know I have a couple of odd shadows from the pendants, the under-cabinet lights are a bit blown and wrong color balance...as well as the can light on the left being messed up (fixed for final shot).
A flash-only layer didn't cut it on this one. Cabinets showed every reflection...as you can see..and it was way too flat, so I had to mix in an ambient layer. Seems too warm to me....but if I went cooler on WB....it seemed too cold.
Lights:
1 STU from CR
1 BOC slightly CR
1 BOC slightly CL.
Even though there were no windows, this was actually pretty tough with not much natural light. I was so worried with the stove that I missed the flash reflection in the fridge, but I'll try to take care of that before sending.
Lighting is a single exposure.
1 - AB800 behind me bounced into breakfast area CL at about 1/2 for some faux natural lighting.
1 - strobe CR on floor bounced into open pantry door for cabinet fill
1 - strobe CR bounced into ceiling
1 - strobe CL bounced into ceiling
The narrow galley kitchen efficiently uses space in the small cabin. We made the concrete countertops and the wall shelves. The cabinets are from Ikea.
tricky WB challenge, a monotone oatmeal-eggshell colored room, big oversized window CL, three SB's, on cam triggering one on floor at 1/32nd zoomed @ 50mm in to drawers, another through an umbrella CR about 1/8th in to the middle of the room. Image added to TV

I finally get the kitchen done and it's already time to get the house listed for rent. Now it's time to start taking pictures of the house as I get the rooms done.
