Photomatix Exposure Fusion blended with a separate flash frame in CS5. Flash frame = Vivitar 285 CL on stand just out of frame bounced into ceiling, 285 CL in dining area (across from double window), 285 CL just on other side of frig and 580 EXII WAD w/ Stofen bounced above me. Several grid pops on lower cabinets masked in for accents.
Wow what a Kitchen! We tried to keep the feel of a simple farmhouse but bring it up to modern standards. This kitchen features Solid Maple Cabinets in a classic shaker style. It has a cast iron farmhouse sink with a bridged faucet. It has classic Black Granite Countertops, and a marble subway tile backsplash. Under Cabinet Lighting. New stainless steel Appliances with a gas grange and counter depth refrigerator. Last but certainly not least is a great old butcher block island that we found down the road and the Lucketts Store that fit just perfectly in the space.

Arches, columns and stone add charm to this appealing ranch plan, while angles and curves create a layout with plenty of character. This kitchen cabinetry was created with the Fairhaven inset door style in Cherry finished in Toffee and accented with Cherry finished in Chestnut.
Side two of the kitchen. On this side, we're going with a "new" vintage cookie jar, soap dispenser.
The kitchen is brand new and if I suggested taking it out to put in an "old" kitchen or even painting the cabinets, my husband would go through the roof (understandably) and so I do what I can where I can. ;-)

A few weeks ago, I started with a new 'project' the kitchen garden. At first it was totally in open air but since one week I'm the owner of a greenery. I still need to make doors, at both ends, so it isn't totally finished yet.
What's in it?
Melons, spinach, carrots, beans, red cabbage, white cabbage, broccoli, 3 types of lettuce, 2 types of tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini, pepers.
