A keypad is a set of buttons arranged in a block which usually bear digits and other symbols but not a complete set of alphabetical letters. If it mostly contains numbers then it can also be called a numeric keypad. Keypads are found on many alphanumeric keyboards and on other devices such as calculators, combination locks and telephones which require largely numeric input.
A bit of a touristy shot maybe but I was moved by the beauty and setting of this old ruin.
This abbey was established in 1132 by devout monks seeking a simpler existence. The atmospheric ruins that remain are a window into a way of life which shaped the medieval world.
The abbey operated for over 400 years, until 1539, when Henry VIII ordered the dissolution of the monasteries.
One-of-a-kind, it is now recognised as a World Heritage Site.

We see so few of our old red telephone boxes now and it's such a shame that they always seem to be vandalised. This one is in the village of Buckden, where we spent some time last weekend. I kept thinking of the Dr Hook song Sylvia's mother when looking at this...is it stuck in your head now? :)

Keys from a previous house so not current! We tend to accumulate keys as we go through life, don’t we? Although we have seen the advent of keypads and other forms of keyless entry, it’s always handy to have a physical key to fall back on!
