For as long as I can remember, I have loved The Muppets.
Their wild anarchy, energy and good-natured wise-cracking was a breath of fresh air, compared to the rather po-faced and dull home-grown TV programmes.
Bill and Ben, or Animal, Kermit and Miss Piggy? No contest.
What great ambassadors they are for their country. They project a fun-loving, diverse, warm and welcoming America.
They are, in my view, one of America's greatest exports of all time.
So imagine my delight when - in Madrid of all places - I saw the doyen of all anchors, Kermit the Frog, hanging out on a park bench.

Updated my earlier Muppet Show Mahna Mahna build with a brand new singer (also named Mahna Mahna). Now on LEGO Ideas trying to gather 10,000 supporters for consideration as an official set.

This was another day where it was nearly impossible to decide which photo goes into the Project365 set. I absolutely love the shot of weighted arcs, but cryo-Kermie is pretty hard to resist for general appeal, plus a pretty good demonstration of the icy splendor.

Etienne Delessert's singular interpretation of Kermit the Frog's anthem "Bein' Green" by Joe Raposo. Released by Golden Books in 1973, the book measures 12.5'' x 9.375''. Since those dimensions exceed my scanner size, each of these images is comprised of four separate scans put together in Paint. According to the author bios, an animated version of this book aired on Sesame Street with vocals by Frank Sinatra.
To read my interview with Etienne Delessert regarding his work with Eugene Ionesco, see my blog here:

Here's a shot of my friend Kareem's "Kermit the Frog" green Honda Civic EK hatch. This was taken the same day we got the car put back together after we rolled her out of the paint booth.
This shot was taken with a borrowed Canon XSI and 15mm fisheye.

"Flat? You mean: out of tune ?"
"No. Flat. Like teeny pancakes."

This is a detail in the Muppets area of Disney's Hollywood Studios that I thought was kind of neat...
