Budapest - Street Art
If you are wandering along Szabadság Square (Liberty Square) near Parliament you could very well miss Kermit the Frog if you don’t happen to look down. Nestled next to the fence overlooking the square’s café you’ll find this beloved Muppet.
While the statue was created to recognize when frog legs became a Hungarian delicacy in the late 19th century, don’t worry! Kermit is well-loved and not likely to be eaten. If you happen to see him during the winter months, you may find that someone has dressed him in a cozy little scarf (because it can get awfully cold in the snow)
An older shot of a sublimely whimsical figure. A real shame Palisades went under cause they had a Sesame Street line on deck that I'd of killed for.

This is a picture of the large picture hanging on the wall right when you enter the queue for Muppet Vision 3D at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida. I used distortion correction and cropping to get the entire picture in...

"Streets of Gold" by Needtobreathe
I want you to know
I’m leaving to let you go
One day we’ll walk upon
Streets of gold
I don’t remember seeing fear in your eyes
When you were fading
The day we said our goodbyes
It’s easy to say that there’s a reason for this
Much harder to know
That what we say is true
Everything we hold could someday slip away
I want you to know
I’m leaving to let you go
And someday we’ll walk upon
The streets of gold
Running through your veins was a slow-ticking clock
Counting down the days
And no one could make it stop
All of the time that it takes to figure it out
Could be the moments
That you can’t live without
Everything we hold could someday slip away
I want you to know
I’m leaving to let you go
And someday we’ll walk upon
The streets of gold
The trouble with love is that it comes to an end
I’ve got a feeling I’m gonna find you again
Just in a place where love can’t die
I want you to know
I’m leaving to let you go
And someday we’ll walk upon
The streets of gold

TITLE: It's Not Easy Being Green
It's not that easy being green
Having to spend each day the color of the leaves
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold
Or something much more colorful like that
It's not easy being green
It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things
And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're
Not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water
Or stars in the sky
But green's the color of Spring
And green can be cool and friendly-like
And green can be big like an ocean, or important
Like a mountain, or tall like a tree
When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why
Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful
And I think it's what I want to be

That's one of my favorite lines (for those curious, #1 is "a salute to all nations, but mostly America") from MuppetVision 3D. One of the shots on my shot list for August was "MV3D - Cheap 3D trick - shallow DoF" which was intentionally open-ended as I wasn't sure what I wanted to accomplish. This was the result.
As a huge Muppets fan, I am really pleased with the advertising for the new charity promotion. Great to see the Muppets have a bigger presence in the parks.
Starting tomorrow, I will be back to a regular schedule (commenting and posting) on here. Until then, back to the game, which has gotten good (shockingly).
The Professor looked down at the frog, who was obviously in distress. "I think he has a virulent case of Frog Pox."
Lifeline kneeled down and opened his first aid kit. "I'll be the judge of that. Please, just step back and allow him some room to breathe."

Animal is hugging a scared Kermit. Kermit is trying to be nice to Animal and show that he cares. For those wondering Animal is a head taller than Kermit. They are replicas from Master Replicas.
James Maury Henson (1936–1990) was an American actor, animator, cartoonist, composer, inventor, puppeteer, and screenwriter, who achieved worldwide notice as the creator of The Muppets characters. Throughout a career spanning four decades, Henson left an indelible mark on popular culture. With his gentle humor and innovative approach to puppetry, Henson built the Muppets into an enduring international brand.
Henson's most famous Muppet creation, Kermit the Frog, was the star and host of The Muppet Show, played a significant role on Sesame Street, and served as the logo of The Jim Henson Company.
This wall-sized portrait of Jim and Kermit was taken at an exhibition entitled 'Jim Henson, Imagination Unlimited' at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco, California.
Of course, that was the description Grover gave to Kermit the Frog's eyes on a funny segment of Sesame Street. And I just got this picture in the Saturday Self-Challenge group pool with but seconds to go before the deadline!

Adults frequent wet and dry forest, woodlands, shrublands, and open areas; often long distances from the water where they spawn during breeding season. Eggs and tadpoles are found in still water in swamps, dams, streamside ponds, and lagoons.

In the Streets of America section of Disney's Hollywood Studios of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, is the 3D movie attraction Jim Henson's Muppet*Vision 3D. Pictured in the foreground is a water fountain in a courtyard in front of the attraction featuring some of the muppets characters including Gonzo, Fozzie Bear, Animal and several fish. In the background is the attraction sign, which is located on the facade above the entrance to the attraction.
From DisneyWorldTrivia.com:
Miss Piggy pays homage to the Statue of Liberty in the fountain in front of Muppet Vision 3D. Unlike the original statue (which also doesn't have water spouting from her crown), Miss Piggy's sash reads, "Ms. Liberty." The "fishermice" below are sailing in a boat called the "Wretched Refuse" (a fun nod to the poem carved on the base of the real (not Piggy!) Statue of Liberty).
