If you are wandering along Szabadság Square (Liberty Square) near Parliament you could very well miss Kermit the Frog if you don’t happen to look down. Nestled next to the fence overlooking the square’s café you’ll find this beloved Muppet.
While the statue was created to recognize when frog legs became a Hungarian delicacy in the late 19th century, don’t worry! Kermit is well-loved and not likely to be eaten. If you happen to see him during the winter months, you may find that someone has dressed him in a cozy little scarf (because it can get awfully cold in the snow)

Kermit the Frog looks like he has mistaken the meaning of "Aim High", as conveyed by his disheveled appearance and the empty Colt45 bottle.
The Heidelberg Project is a controversial outdoor art project conceived in 1986 by artist Tyree Guyton. After his tour in the Army, Guyton returned to Heidelberg Street, his childhood Detroit neighborhood, and he was quoted as saying "it looked like a bomb went off" there.
He began using "found objects" to decorate abandoned homes in the area, for example discarded toy dolls were affixed to the exterior of one house and it became known as the "Doll House". Tourists, and artists alike flocked to the area to be amused and amazed by the vision of the artist. But not everyone saw the artistic achievement. Two Detroit mayors ordered destruction of some of the homes. Then in 2013 and 2014, eight houses were lost to an arsonist in separate incidents. No one was apprehended.
Today, the spirit of Heidelberg Project remains, but vacant lots mark the spots of many parts of the neighborhood.

Kermit said, "it's not easy being green." But this 1970 customized Chevy C10 pickup makes green look good and muscled up. First Class Automotive of Independence Missouri customized this pickup and it could be heard for a country mile and then some.

The National Oceanic Atomspheric Administration have based the aircraft in Shannon for a month, to support an ongoing NOAA Satellite and Information Service project to measure ocean surface winds in winter storms over the North Atlantic. The project helps NOAA calibrate and validate data collected by weather satellite sensors. The project also helps scientists and engineers improve the quality and consistency of satellite-based weather data. This is the second year that NOAA has conducted this project from Ireland. The aircraft is based at the NOAA Aircraft Operations Center in Lakeland, Florida.

"NOAH 42"arriving into Dublin Airport 23rd January 2020. The aircraft is due to be based in Shannon Airport for 3-4 weeks, but weather of all things prevented her arrival into Shannon, as a thick layer of fog put the runway RVR's below the 550M needed for the Orion to land.
Its over 10 years since I photographed a four engine prop Lockheed built aircraft, the last being an Atlantic Airways Lockheed Electra, so this sight on the ILS for 28 was a very welcome one!

This camera does not take good rainbow pictures. This one would've been spectacular if the sky had been greyer. It was a double rainbow for a very short time- you might be able to see the outer one in the large size, but I'm not sure. It did a full visible arch, too, but none of those pictures came out very well. Too pink or too blue.
This was, of course, going on at the same time as the storm cloud pictures, so I was doing this nifty little rotation- first the clouds, then the rainbow, then the clouds, then the rainbow. It was an intense twenty minutes or so.
