Inspired by (or, more accurately, directly lifted from) Flickr member Tarja_'s Muppet Stories project.

What can I say? I love these characters... or Tarja's characterizations of these characters... and I just had to have 'em! There are a hundred-and-one things wrong with this photo, and normally I wouldn't have posted it like this, but the missing members of the gang arrived today and I had to show 'em off!

You'd think the large, heavy Riddick figure would be reasonably stable, but noooo..., he doesn't want to stand on his own. The Catwalk Kitties are even worse when it comes to balance. And Kermit... well, now I know why he's sitting down in so many of Tarja_'s shots! (I suspect he's a lush.)

Better photos forthcoming, I hope. I have plans for this disfunctional bunch.

St. Stephen's Green Publick House: Look at my new "Irish Green" Rolex. It's not yet 11:00 a.m. and she's already curled up around a glass of Maker's Mark whiskey (much like a real Irish girl!)

I think she may just have a drinking problem!

"Is that disgusting. Yes, and it's not just the people, although Lord knows that's bad enough. Even doggies and cats can't be trusted - underneath their fur .... completely NAKED."

Ricoh XR-2s + Pentax SMC f1.4 50mm + Lomography XR redscale film + double exposure + both rated at ASA25

Normally I get between 1 and 5 keepers from a roll of 36...but this roll has produced at least 15. Really loving the Ricoh now, more so than the K1000 and MX. And the Lomography pre-rolled Redscale XR (400ASA) film is great too - I know it's easy to do, but this way there are no light leaks or scratches as there can be from self rolling.

...yet there are some things in life that we can always do to keep that youthful heart alive.

behold, kermit the frog.

Kermie stole the newly finished wash mitt to try it out...

I used to knit up wash cloths/rags, but find I don't care for using them so now I make mitts instead. =) This one's in the fabric stitch (linen stitch).

This was my interpretation of the Apple "Think Different" poster of Jim Henson and Kermit.

Well, I miss Kermit the Frog on Sesame Street but I have those old school DVD's watching him at his best...

Just a preview of what's more to come! Just 3 of my ladies and I went for a walk, a bicycle race, some tree-climbing, etc.

Roxie, Quirkee and Summer got down and dirty... (Not to mention *me*, taking pics in the middle of dog-poo-piles...)

Almost fell here in the damn puddle below him, luckily he didnt... :D

It is a little-known fact outside of the University of Maryland community that Jim Henson was an alum of UMd. On Sept. 24, 2003 (what would have been his birthday and what is mine), they added this statue set of Jim and Kermit the Frog having a conversation outside of the student union.

It's a really neat little part of the UMd landscape, and more info on the statue can be found here.

We asked them to show us their teeth or lack of teeth, and this is what we got LOL.

An Oshkosh P19 ARFF truck.

As a kid, my brother and I used to gather up all of stuffed animals and pile them on the couch trying to submerge either my dad or the dog. I wanted to do this idea for a while and I'm so delighted with how it turned out. My mom was my photography director and aided in the piling. I used my remote after every last animal was on top of me.

This Kermit the Frog sings "Caribbean Amphibian". He hums when you hold his mouth. My brother got this for my son when he was a little boy. I've kept it for reasons of my own.

Etienne Delessert's singular interpretation of Kermit the Frog's anthem "Bein' Green" by Joe Raposo. Released by Golden Books in 1973, the book measures 12.5'' x 9.375''. Since those dimensions exceed my scanner size, each of these images is comprised of four separate scans put together in Paint. According to the author bios, an animated version of this book aired on Sesame Street with vocals by Frank Sinatra.

I started sending out various holiday e-cards when I got my first computer back in 2001 and multi-page Scrapbooks followed shortly thereafter. I’ve been doing these Images of Halloween collections since 2003.

Washington, DC set

Kermit is on permanent display at the National Museum of American History in the American Stories exhibit in DC. I edited this to make it appear like he's sitting down for a photoshoot or something. He's a bit grainy, but it was a low light, behind a glass case situation.
