„... Seltsam. Bisher hatte ich an menschenleeren Orten wie diesem nie ein Gefühl, das ich als eigenartig bezeichnet hätte. Aber heute war es anderes als sonst. Diese Worte beziehe ich nicht auf dieses Foto und die Nacht, an dem es entstanden ist. Ich meine tatsächlich den heutigen Morgen. Aktuell ist ein Teilstück der Autobahn 42 in Bottrop gesperrt. Und in den letzten Nächten habe ich die Sperrung für mich genutzt. Und irgendwann vor wenigen Stunden stand ich da alleine in der Nacht und hatte tatsächlich das Gefühl, vollkommen den Kontakt zur Welt verloren zu haben. Dabei war alles wie immer. Ich in meinen gewohnten Sujets. Eingehüllt in Stille und Dunkelheit und eigenartige Lichtstimmungen... Aber da war kein Geräusch, sondern nur eine laute Stille. Und einzig das Ausatmen der Kokerei in der Ferne hat mir das Gefühl gegeben, dass irgendwie in dieser Nacht noch andere Menschen wach sein müssen... Die Befindlichkeit meines Herzens war wie immer. Innig verbundenen mit meinem ganz eigenen Blick auf meine Heimat. Aber zum ersten Mal war ein Gedanke in meinem Kopf tatsächlich lauter als mein Bauchgefühl...“
Die Ortschaft Oberweng im Mondlicht nahe Windischgarsten in der Phyrn-Priel Region/Oberösterreich. Im Hintergrund der Große und Kleine Phyrgas und rechts der Bosruck. Oerweng ist eine Ansammlung von Bauernhöfen auf ca. 900 m Seehöhe. Hier liegt im Winter meist Schnee auch wenn es im Tal schon grün ist.
The moonlit village of Oerweng near Windischgarsten in the Pyhrn-Priel region in the southern part of Upper Austria. In the background the Großer Phyrgas and Kleiner Phyrgas and the Bosruck to the right (mountains). Oberweng is a collection of farm houses 900 m above level. Here one can find snow in winter most of the times, even if there is none in the valley below.

La 308.038 y 308.020 salen de la estación de La Pobla de Segur con el Tren dels Llacs destino Lérida, metiendo un buen acelerón y haciendo tronar sus motores Catepillar. Tenía ganas de hacer una foto con buena luz a este tren, ya que las anteriores veces que lo fotografié estaba nublado o la luz no era buena del todo. Esta vez tuve suerte con las nubes y justo cuando salió el tren apareció el sol y pude sacar las preciosas YeYé bien iluminadas.
Here's the wider view of the entire falls. Flow is low in late September. At high flow in spring water flows strong over the full 70 foot width. Would be impressive!

Floater II - This beautiful Barn Owl popped out of a dense willow stand and floated by me full frame, allowing for some cool shots. The SEOW's seemed to start their hunt first, followed by the Barn Owls.
I really had to push the ISO and reduce my shutter speed here, but the electronic shutter really helped me with the spray and pray methodology and I came away with some sharp frames.
