Personally, I don't believe in luck, but I like the pic rusty old, lichen covered horseshoe.

Vielleicht beantworten meine Worte Deine unausgesprochene Frage, warum Du mich so oft an solchen Orten finden kannst.“

“Polaris Pond II.” Inyo National Forest above Bishop. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this area as beautiful as it was on 10/03/2020. The trees in the foreground of this photo typically turn color earlier than others and are promptly stripped of their leaves from the prevailing west winds in the area. Not so this year. As seen here, these trees were still holding on to their leaves. Moreover, most areas—with the exception of a small patch—were already sporting their yellow, orange, or red. In short, almost all the trees in the area were in their full, vibrant color—and virtually none had lost their leaves. Add in the fact that the colors were “better than average” vibrancy this year (last year was very dull), it was truly magical.

To sit on a bench, five minutes with you
And look at people pass by endlessly
Talk about old time that's maybe not so far
While squesing in my hand your li'l fingers
And feed stupid pigeons
just as an excuse to scare them
And listen to your lauther
that can crawl walls appart
And especially heal all my wounds
To tell you about what kind of kid I was
Those wonderful candies that we stole at the shop
Liquorice, mints, caramels for one buck
And the Mistral gagnants....

The making of Maasvlakte II, the new harbour expansion of the port of Rotterdam.
One of the functions of landscape is to correspond to, nurture, and provoke exploration of the landscape of the imagination. Space to walk is also space to think, and I think that's one thing landscapes give us: places to think longer, more uninterrupted thoughts or thoughts to a rhythm other than the staccato of navigating the city.

May 2012, when this was shot, the new Maasvlakte II harbour was still in development.
I think this flying creature is some very small Skipper, but as usual I'm not sure... Unfortunately this is the best picture I could take. And there is also a hidden spider... nature in spring )

In 2013 the construction of the infrastructure of the new Maasvlakte II harbour was still in full swing. Here a snow storm was approaching.
