Bad air in the Bay Area from the smoke of the fires burning around us. This air is actually clearer down low than it was earlier in the day, but the air up high was still brown.

„... Seltsam, ja. Der Regen und der starke Wind haben mich in der Dunkelheit daran gehindert, hierhin zurück zu kommen. Und mir hat es überhaupt nichts ausgemacht. Ich habe ja die Fotos, die ich nicht gemacht habe, in meinem Kopf. Ob ich sie tatsächlich jemals machen werde? Was spielt das für eine Rolle? Sie fließen durch meine Gedanken, so wie die Regentropfen nur wenige Stunden später von meiner Regenjacke geronnen sind. Es hat keinen Unterschied gemacht, dieser Tag war schön, so wie er war... Wir haben uns in die Hotelbar gesetzt und haben durch das Meer der Tropfen auf den Glasscheiben hinaus auf das Hafenbecken und seine vom Wind bewegte Wasseroberfläche geschaut. Ja, alles war gut... Seltsam gut.“
