This is from the same day this was taken.
You know when you are going through old photos and you decide that you really like one, even though you didn't when it was taken? This is one of those photos.
I wish this was film. I feel that way about photos sometimes after I take them.
Basically SOOC.
If you haven't already, enter the PRINT GIVEAWAY a few photos down. Its open until Saturday so Go Go Go! :)))
The same door, seen closer — the glow now burns instead of beckons.
Distance gone, the mystery turns to heat and texture.
Sometimes stepping closer changes everything.

This is the UMM Alter II, a Portuguese all terrain vehicle.
Portugal was never famous for its auto industry, this being one of the most successful ones.
They were produced from 1986 to mid-nineties, used Peugeot engines and many can still be found on our roads. This is the short soft top version.
About the model, it has doors and hood that open, engine, detailed interiors, steering and rear suspension.

Finished!
It was originally completely built as a "dark bley" U.S. marines AV-8B, which IRL I love the look of, but hated the look of it when built in LEGO.....something to do with the way that small gaps and casting shadows effected the smooth colour and contouring.
So I thought, hang on, why when this is a British jet am I not building it in the typical British camo livery?! Well, mainly because I didnt want to do another heavily dependant sticker model (such as the camo F4, I've done that once, got it out of my system!) BUT, the use of dark green really drew my attention away from the 2 points of shadow casting that I hated on the dark grey model, so a heavy breath, lets go with the GR9 U.K. variant. Lots of decal work to be done and remodelling of parts of the plane,
Regardless of colours, there are so many sections of this build that really should not (and would not work digitally) BUT do when toying with stress and play. I wanted to get as smooth as possible, where-ever possible shaping / contours whilst retaining strength and the correct angles of the real jet.
Hope I've done it justice!
Everything works that should work, and it has delayed flashing engine beacons along with constantly lit fuselage lights and wingtips.
Also, as previously shown in this video, a working intake blade: www.flickr.com/photos/bricktrix/16488486749/
This model along with my Phantoms, Caterhams, F1 cars and a few locos will be on display this coming weekend at the National Space Center in Leicester, U.K :)

Not (city) government-issued! A handmade sign and a rickety bridge over a boggy portion of Cecilia Creek, in...
Decatur (Legacy Park), Georgia, USA.
8 October 2020.

▶ UPDATE:
By 2023, the bog had reclaimed much of the surrounding dry land: the footbridge collapsed, and the hillock on which this photo was taken became permanently submerged.

The Barbican Complex in London is an example of brutalist architecture made predominantly from concrete. It comprises of three tall residential towers and a central block which contains flats and other spaces of various purposes. The complex here is now grade II listed as a site of architectural interest. There certainly isn't the feel you would expect from such a cold looking building.
It was created after severe bombing during the second world war and was built between 1965 and 1976 by Chamberlin, Powell and Bon architects.
Part of the Barbican series.
