1954, i miei vent'anni! La fotocamera Exakta Varex II era il regalo di compleanno e questa una delle prime foto. Le auto sul fondo , la Topolino e la Millecento testimoniano il periodo dello scatto a Livorno, nel quartiere detto "la Venezia" per i molti canali che lo attraversano. La Exakta era una reflex 24x36 prodotta nella DDR ( Germania Orientale) e, pur essendo priva di esposimetro aveva molte buone qualità a cominciare dagli obiettivi. Io avevo solo il normale di 50 mm ma spesso tra amici ci prestavamo ottiche diverse. Una caratteristica unica consisteva nel far scorrere la pellicola dal rullo pieno ad altro vuoto all'interno dell'apparecchio. Nella parte superiore si trovava il comando di una minuscola lama che: serviva, quando si aveva fretta di sviluppare la pellicola, a dividere la pellicola esposta da quella non ancora impressionata. Aprendo la macchina in piena luce si toglieva il rullo "ricevente" con le immagini da sviluppare e si riagganciava la restante pellicola per continuare a fotografare.

Corset back, though its fitted with Numina Body, fit could adopt to similar sized dolls like Deva and Jamieshow, fit may be awkward for Sybarites but tolerable. Includes Ball Gown, Headpiece which is permanently attached to the wig, beaded purse and petti coat underneath.

I went to shoot at Carlton's Wharf this morning, only to find the shoreline fenced off with tall chain link with signs the area was under video surveillance. Couldn't believe it, so I made my way to this spot with the rope instead. The tide ended up being a good level for this angle and I got this frame in while there was still color in the sky. Soon all these spots on the East Boston shoreline are going to get shut down as the land gets developed. Only a matter of time. To think a couple weeks ago I just hopped down to the shore at Carlton's Wharf and got some shots, and now the whole area is inaccessible.

The Westerheversand Lighthouse is located in Westerhever, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Considered to be one of the best-known lighthouses in northern Germany, it was built in 1908. Its cast iron tower is 40 metres (130 ft) high. The lighthouse is often used for weddings, and one of the two keeper's cottages has been adapted for use by the local registrar.The tower has been open to visitors since 2001 and is still in use. It's lights have a range from 18 to 24 miles (from Wikipedia).

Beach Sunset. Yesterday, I took my son to the Adraga Beach for the sunset.
We were lucky to have witnessed this beautiful sunset together.
The Kamera-Werkstätten AG (KW) in Niederzedlitz outside Dresden launched in 1939 the 35mm SLR Praktiflex camera. This camera is the pattern for most of the 35 mm SLR cameras, even todays DSLRs. In 1947 an improved Praktiflex version was launched, often called the Praktiflex II, which is my camera. It is fitted with the Victar Anastigmat 1:2.9 F = 5 cm, which is not an impressive kind of lens.
Atop of Cinnamon Pass in southwestern Colorado. Took the pass from Lake City to Silverton - saw some amazing scenery along the way! Got to the top of the pass and was treated to an amazing sunset!
