Another new location, my first visit to Ghosties Beach, near Snapper Point on the central coast of New South Wales. Taken near the tidal cave entrance, the low incline of the beach allows for some great reflections when the swell recedes.
Nikon D800 & Nikkor 16-35mm, Lee 1.2 GND filter. PP in PS CC using Nik Software and luminosity masks.
Something a little different tonight. I took this photo of the interior of a Mustang II that was for sale. I thought it was in such amazing shape. A cool little car.

i've been feeling very inspired by super-traditional scrappy quilts, so i thought i'd give one a try! i have four blocks finished out of probably 15 or so. each block measures 15" x 15" (they're big!) + each one is comprised of 36 disappearing 9-patch blocks.
wow, these blocks are intense! i was originally planning to sew all the blocks together without sashing (that's 4 blocks placed edge to edge in the above image), but now i'm thinking that sashing each of the blocks in white would be a better idea. the eye needs some resting points!
and it's just now sinking in how many different fabrics i have owned + used. so. many. all. different. wow.
Gottfried Böhm designed a building in brutalist style.
It was consecrated in 1968.

My Cruiser Mk II tank is ready.
Its in scale 1:45 instead of my regular scale of 1:35, so it was a new challenge for me but the end result is great and is closer to fig scale.
I'm very happy with it, only the back needs maby some more work.

On this, the 10th day of our successful 16-day trek to the K2 North Base Camp and the North Gasherbrum Glacier in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China, we trekked some 20 km (12.4 mi.) up the Shaksgam River from our campsite at Kulquin Bulak (elevation 4,037 m, 13,245 ft.) to a campsite near the North Gasherbrum Glacier (elevation 4,222 m, 13,852 ft.). We began the day by crossing a tributary just 1.5 km (0.9 mi.) from Kulquin Bulak on foot, followed by a crossing of a shallow channel of the Shaksgam on foot. We made two river crossings on our camels, one across a channel of the Shaksgam and finally across the East Skyang Lungpa River, 1 km (0.6 mi.) northwest of our North Gasherbrum Camp. In this view looking south-southwest from our camp, Gasherbrum II, the 13th highest mountain on earth (elevation 8,035 m, 26,362 ft.) is the pyramidal peak in sun at center some 19 km (12 mi.) distant on the China-Pakistan border. The high peak beyond the ridge just to the right of Gasherbrum II is Gasherbrum III (7,952 m, 26,089 ft.), which lies in Pakistan.

The Albatross II, at Scott Boat Yard in Buxton, NC for seasonal maintenance, was launched in 1953. It is the second of the three round stern boats that make up the Albatross Fleet. Round stern boats such as the Albatross were developed along the Outer Banks sometime around the turn of the last century. All three Albatross boats were built by Willis and Sons Boat Works in Marshallburg, NC. Though unusual in appearance today, they dominated the waterfronts of all coastal Carolina fishing communities through the early 1950âs. The three Albatross boats are still in operation today and fish out of Hatteras, NC.
