DIY, baby! I pulled down the picture showing myself using it, because I hate having my picture online. Yeah, sue me.
Shoebox w/ flash head cutout, aluminum foil tape covering the inside, and two layers of nylon sheeting from home depot. The flash sticks about 1/2"-1" into the interior.
$12 of Home Depot materials, and I've got enough left over to make another 5-10 (maybe 15) of these.
The camera i've built using Fish-Eye-Takumar 18mm f:11, Agfa Jsolette body and Copal #0 press shutter. Takes circular pictures using 120 film.
DC: Pre-cooked. I found DC's entry's wrappers a bit too thick for my liking. But that was always my issue with homemade pasta. I could never get it thin enough myself.
The green spots are pieces of fresh basil leaves.
For the record, I took the pictures and cooked as well.
A project for my secondment. You too can make one to measure windspeed sort of accurately, if you accept there is no account taken of friction or drag created by the anemometer itself, and the arbitrary 'calibration' of the cheap'n'cheerful cycle speedo. The fruits of a mis-spent afternoon in the garage with some MDF, an old broom handle, cycle speedo kit, bottle top, ball bearing race, dowel rod, some washers and tea light containers. According to the display, the hairdryer force is about 6.5 mph, so it's about right, if not exactly spot on...
This is after all 6 parts are sewn together, before it's turned inside out. You can see the zipper side is up here.
Here is an inside view of the four sections sewn together. All of the sewing is done on this side (inside).
I concede that these wontons have some egg in the skin. I wanted to make them the first time with the right wrapper so I could see how they work. Next time I'll make them with gyoza wrappers (they're vegan) and I'll see how that goes. They're filled with broccolini and homemade seitan.
I've been working on two sheep vests for my daughters school play. This one is almost done! The other needs is "fluff" stitched on still.
Pizza Dough
Bread Machine Recipe
3/4 Cup warm water
1 Tbsp oil
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp dry milk
2 1/4 cups bread flour
1 tsp active dry yeast
Follow bread machine instructions and use DOUGH setting.
Press dough into 12 inch round greased pan, raising edge of dough.
Spread olive oil over the crust and spread minced garlic and basil over the crust. Add pizza sauce, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese and pepperoni .
Bake at 400* until crust is golden brown.
We used some of our fresh tomatoes to make this delicious homemade pizza with a pizza stone we got recently.
Starting in the front - strawberry ice cream, rhubarb custard pie, and salsa! It was good times is what I'm saying.
Tried my hand on homemade yogurt yesterday. Didn't know it's that simple! :) Taste wise, it's rather good,not those very sourish as that of commercial one, with a hint of vanilla as I added a teaspoon of my vanilla extract. :)
Don't know whether my husband game enough to try or not? :D

Him made California Rolls the other night. They may not be as good as the ones you'd get from a sushi bar, but they're good enough. Mmmm.
I felt like curry today for dinner and so made this chicken curry. Plenty of baguette on the side to soak it up too! This is the recipe I used. It always tastes better the next day and so I made the full recipe for just the two of us!
A friend made these tofu chicken strips for my graduation party. Even two days later fresh from the over they're still yummy!
A few feet of nylon webbing, some paracord, and some time. Total of $12, most of that in the swivel. Nothing to count labor as this was a rather fun project.
Webbing slides over butt stock and secures with Velcro around the but end. Removal will be more difficult when I add a scope but for now I can have it off in about 20 seconds.
