One of two loaves. I didn't use a breadmaker.
Juicy, sweet pink shrimp from Maine. They were lovely, delicate and oh-so-fresh! I just quickly sauteed them with a garlic oil I made and then added some cayenne for heat.
starbucks is pushing tea latte's these days so we decided to make our own and see what the rave is all about.

To solve all the messy stuff at the base of my two main alcoves, I measured up, went to the wood yard, selected some 18mm thick MDF, got the man to cut it for me, then glued, screwed and assembled two lovely bespoke units. This one is nice as I recycled the glass doors from the previous crappy TV stand.

Finally after about a year since my trial with underwear made from recycled tank, I made my two first organic hemp(khaki color), and cotton(blue ones) underwear. I got organic fabric remnants from etsy shops who sew organic clothes. All you need is zigzag stitch on the regular sewing machine.
I gave my son a breadmaker for his birthday, Dec. 22, so he made a loaf of bread on Sunday. It was very good!
For the All New Scavenger Hunt #17 - Christmas baking. I had intended to make gingerbread on Saturday, but unexpected company scuttled those plans, so this will have to do!

This is my first bottle of homemade Mead. If you don't know, Mead is wine made from honey. It was the beverage of choice for the Vikings and is as sweet and tasty as it looks.
This bottle was full not long ago but I spent one afternoon experimenting with a process known as "Back Sweetening" and this required quite a bit of taste testing, I think I finally got it right.
I made this yogurt without a yogurt maker, using just a central heating and it turned out very well...! :) Recipe on my blog .

12 inches of 3/4" threaded rod, 3/4" nuts and washers and bronze flanged sleeve bearings. The electrical tape fine-tunes the outside diameter of the bearings.
it was really, really delicious!!! still warm with real butter, hmmmm, heaven! and that crispy rind - so good!!!
For my first dish using the Rival Crockpot, I decided to make some chili.
The Versaware stoneware was quite convenient as I was able to first caramalize the onions and brown the meat in the stoneware, then after putting the rest of the ingredients inside, put the stoneware directly in the crock pot. No mess. No fuss. No washing extra dishes.
After several hours of slow cooking, the chili came out great... not to mention my whole apartment smelling like it as well!
Who says waking up to the sweet smell of homemade chili isn't the least bit comforting?!
Note, the picture above was taken before cooking in the crockpot.
The first pizza I made from scratch. Mmmm!
Toppings: marinated artichoke hearts, red bell pepper, fire roasted red pepper, onion, basil, parsley, mushroom, spinach, and mozzarella!
my dad drilled a well for an Amish family and the wife gave him a bag of freshly made egg noodles which I luckily ended up with.
