My third time ever and Henri´s first time making sushi. It turned out yummy and plenty.

This is a must-have for my birthday every year: Mum's fried prawns! Simply out of this world~

In my homemade pies I used a combo of Warialda Belted Galloway beef - a sustainable rare breed - bolarblade and mince. This was a good mix of textures dotted with the smoky lardons of kaiserfleisch, the occasional pop of tiny mustard seeds & slippery silkiness of mushrooms floating in a red wine braise and mirepoix.

Run, run as fast as you can,

You can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man!

These were good. The dough was VERY sticky, but somehow I managed it. Chill, small portions, all help.

Brought these for my Christmas Eve Family Dinner. My cousin's daughter loved them.

Finished cake waiting to be flipped.

Week 3 of our new Keto diet, showing how we are trying to get the balance right. Two meals a day, first about noon to 1 pm, last about 6-7 pm, giving a period of approx 16 hours during which the body has a chance to utilise existing fats within the body. They call it intermittent fasting, we call it less cooking and dishes to wash and more time for important things :-)

I an experimenting in the kitchen again. I made a kind of stew. I combined Masaman Curry, coconut milk, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, chicken, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, turmeric, green onion, white onion, yellow peppers, red peppers, green peppers, okra, corn, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, carrot and garlic. I added a little whole wheat post right before serving.

All done. The glaze didn't come out too well, but it tasted really good.

Awful traffic tonite so had to throw something together in 20 minutes. Broiled salmon, curry lentil soup from a box with fresh tomato added.

Momma's homecooked goodness.

Steamed HUGE prawns with challots, garlic, ginger, egg, and a dash of Henessy VSOP. I think it's more than a dash. Lol. We like it strong!

I tried guacamole for the first time at Chevy's while I was in Florida and tonight I decided to try to make my own. It's pretty good!
