After my "Faces and Expressions" project, wanted to do something in my photography. One of the genre, I always wanted to touch is "Social Documentry photography". Want to take some pics which is useful for others in some way. It may be social awareness, NGO promotions. I really dont consider the following pics are in that genre. But, I have to start somewhere. This is my first attempt. The lighting was bit difficult. But, I could manage to get these shots. Most of the shots are taken with high ISO 2000.
Recently visited "Rehabilitation of Mentally Challenged people" in Trichy. It was not a planned visit. But, took my gear with me. There are around 50 people in day care. These guys are one or other way got into mental illness. The good thing is, they have a family support. Daily, their parents / relatives drop them here. They get medications, training on preparing candles, paper bag, Soap Oil, Phenoyl, Incent Sticks, Dhoop sticks, Dish washing powder, Dolls, Craft works, etc. Periodic medications and counciling make them better day by day and they could able to understand the work. Some of them, even go out and sell their products. This is very posivite sign. They also get evaluated over the period and they also get salary for whatever they are doing and selling.
Had a conversation with their Psychiatrist. The sad story is, sometime their parents / relatives, drop these people on the road or bus / rail station and vanish. The TRUST also have a home where these kind of people are picked from the road and get treated. As of now, they have around 120 people like this (without family support) in another place. I could not able to visit that place. But, will be visiting next time.
We all need to know that these people are having a temp. illness. We should not ignore them. It is like any other illness. But it takes some time to get cured. They are also like us. Please respect them and treat them like any other people.
Each one of us can make a big change in their lifes. We can contribute in many way.
PS: Another sad story. Met my 6 / 7th std. Teacher in this place. His son is also admitted here. He is also doing some service here by teaching them. :-(

Sunrise Rotary helps support the Climb for Cancer Foundation and its annual Brandon Ling memorial sports camp for children with cancer. Dozens of UF volleyball, soccer, softball, baseball, basketball, lacrosse, cheerleading, dance and football athletes attend to help teach skills and just have fun with the kids. this is one of the rescued cats from the sewers of yesterday , it was barely standing up on its feet.. its to skinny and me and my friend sara tried to feed it and it didnt want milk!
then we bought a tuna can and it ate a lil~
i so wish someone would volunteer tomorrow to take them cause they really cant stay outside like this , this cat mostly is barely living

Looking to Garry's picture you have a look into the "Neues Museum". Looking at this picture you can see what's happens outside of the museum. What is more interessting? Curious onlooker prefer to see what is happening outside. A sports car driver overlooked a stair with two steps. That's life, what a misfortune.
