Slightly edited shot of a girl in Amsterdam. Taken with my Sony HX1.
Sometimes when I try to secretly shoot somebody, they notice me waving my camera in their general direction and they might panic (hey, having a wicked Reflectah pointing his cam at you can be a somewhat disturbing experience!), and some even go as far as calling the cops, like the lady in these pictures. Once she realized that she might end up in a puddle, being wickedly reflected on, she grabbed her mobile and started dialing 911 112, hysterically screaming at the emergency services people to come and rescue her, crying, sobbing and ululating all over the place. Of course by the time her fingers hit the '1' on the dialpad the first time, I had already hopped on my trusty bicycle and was rapidly riding into the sunset, only to search for less attentive victims, or at least a fool without a mobile phone, lol :D

Another view of the restored garage in Helper Utah, a nice thing for the city to do rather than leave it as an eyesore......
This past weekend, I helped put on Terre Haute's first ever Help Portrait event at Lighthouse Mission. Help-Portrait is a global movement of photographers, hairstylists and makeup artists using their time, tools and expertise to give back to those in need. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing people's story and watching their reaction as they saw their picture.
I've never been one to ask for help, but today I am.
As a lot of you know I volunteer at a rescue for Australian Cattle dogs. So this is very close to my heart. The operation this little girl needs is going to costs at least $1500. If I can raise even a small amount of that I'd be happy.
If you can help, please flickr mail me.
Thank you :)
Ps. If you have suggestions on her little poster I'd appreciate that too.
Hey there guys, I have a problem with certain hairs I downloaded.
It's Molten Hairpack2, I downloaded it from loverslab;
as you can see in this image these hairs look like a plastic helmet, I don't understand why since the hair textures that should use look fine and with a very different coloration than this.
I tried to take a look at the meshes with nifskope, maybe the textures' paths in there were wrong.. but nothing. And honestly I don't even know what else to look in nifskope.
I don't have this "issue" with every hair in that pack, maybe because I downloaded zzjay's fix she posted days ago, I can't say for sure.
So, my question is: what should I do to make this haircut (and others that have the same opaque plastic color) decent like the other ones? Is it a texture problem or a mesh problem?
Help pls! :(
¿Alguien puede ayudarme a identificar estos vestidos? Muchas gracias!!
Does anyone recognize these outfits? Many thanks!!
The Mae Tao Clinic (MTC), founded and directed by Dr. Cynthia Maung, provides free health care for refugees, migrant workers, and other individuals who cross the border from Burma to Thailand. People of all ethnicities and religions are welcome at the Clinic. Its origins go back to the student pro-democracy movement in Burma in 1988 and the brutal repression by the Burmese regime of that movement. The fleeing students who needed medical attention were attended in a small house in Mae Sot.
Since 1989 MTC has grown, from that one small house to a large complex of simple buildings that provide a wide variety of health services to different groups of people. Today it serves a target population of approximately 150,000 on the Thai-Burma border. Exact numbers are hard to calculate because of the fluidity of the population. About 50% of those who come to MTC for medical attention are migrant workers in the Mae Sot area; the other 50% travel cross-border from Burma for care.
Mae Tao Clinic Objectives:
To provide health services for displaced Burmese populations along the Thailand-Burma border.
To provide initial training of health workers and subsequent corollary medical education.
To strengthen health information systems along the border.
To improve health, knowledge, attitudes, and practices within local Burmese populations.
To promote collaboration among local ethnic health organizations.
To strengthen networking and partnering with international health professionals and institutions.

These photos were taken by me David Cameron on my own time at my own expense to which I alone pay to host these images here on flickr and to which I wasn’t paid like all the volunteers who help around the scheme, where each and everyone with their own life experiences, miseries, health problems, likes and dislikes. I could write a book on Nicola sturgeon and the hatred I have for this woman who attacks mine and “your free speech”, like her SNP zealots that when they hear another life point of view, run off and grass you you up to facebook in the hope they can get you band for your right to a different point of view, just to make sure their brown shirt fascist leader Isn’t criticised for her failing.
Now I listened to the people about their disgust at this SNP run Renfrewshire council’s theft of piles of wood, yet neglecting the endless trash and all their other garbage they have neglected resulting in the locals cleaning it all up by themselves. Then the council came mob handed along with the cops and stole what was supposed to be a Childs bonfire night. To which many slagged “stole a childs bonfire” statement I made like that wasn’t what happened, but who else was this nights event for if not for the kids. So it’s we who should scorn your comments and more so did you see the fireworks or witness the theft of the wood and all the coppers that your armchair opinion should matter….
So the snp zealots went to town over my first post and never gave me time to post the scoop shot of the night as It was late and It was bed time. Well I took a photo last night of the cops in a packed van were at least two of them were un and partially unmasked and not social distancing… The whole point was Nicola Sturgeon has imposed lockdown, band our freedom of movement, forced many into masks and she is using her police force to impose these acts of law on we the people whose common law rights are all being violatd. And here was a bunch of cops who the day before helped remove wood that doesn’t belong to them and could have had other uses planned for and they never gave the people the chance to move it. So that alone breach common law and fall under theft. And here where her jackboot thugs turning up in vans without masks flouting the very laws you are expected to follow… But no snp zealot outcry over that MAJOR GAFF as that would show descent in the snp ranks and god forbid we should criticise her.
I hereby state Nocola Sturgeon and her justice minister are racists who discriminate against my religion, my health problems and their brand new hate law is an attack on my 30 years Scottish religion and a crime of hate…. This folks is why I truly hate this woman I once voted for and even shot out in Johnston. But I did that as professional and said nothing of politics yet she enters into my Scottish region world and pissed all over it “the spirit of Scotland remembrance project” and that’s a racist hate crime..
In saying that a few shots are out of focus as it`s not easy shooting into the dark or at low shutter speeds, but since you got it all for free, you can’t complain.. Plus if you don’t like my politics don’t download them or have them as a reminder they where taken by someone politics differ from yours. Where I shoot everyone regardless of their politics, funny that give my religion promotes free fucking speech while the snp zealots are taking yours Scotland and without free speech you`ll never be independent or free.
By the way visit my google page and leave a star or two like my photos they are free…
Orca Network has started a campaign to promote awareness and conservation of the Southern Resident population of orcas: Orca Month! They are proposing that June be recognized as orca month, and they need your help! If you want to sign their petition, send your signature via email to info@orcanetwork.org
The Southern Residents are an endangered population of orca. Their population is in danger, especially after 5 orcas died this year, including two young mothers and 2 babies! There are only 85 of these genetically distinct whales left. The two whales in the photo are members of the population; the big guy is Skana (L79), an 18 year old male, and the smaller whale is either his mom Spirit, or his younger brother Solstice.
UPDATE: June has officially been declared Orca Awareness Month! :)
The squirrels and chipmunks help the ground-foraging birds (mainly Juncos and Jays) to clean up the spilled seed from the feeders. I enjoy watching them handle the small seeds... their finger dexterity is amazing! This guy is as close as that allowed by my tele lens (~6 ft.). I often have to retreat to achieve focus... after many years these engaging rodents are now totally accepting of my presence! I actually believe the pups learn this trust from their parents... and the kids are usually even more accepting!

alright guys, so i took this photo of my very lovely friend kate and we are having quite the disagreement about it. i think it's an awesome photo of her whereas she thinks it is disgusting. honest opinion-- what do YOU think?
PLEASE view it larger. the smaller version just doesn't do it justice.
Everyday I cannot help but walk into the streets and spend some time there. Sometimes with my friends, mostly alone.
To fight for true democracy against China's proposal of candidate screening in the universal suffrage in 2017, people in Hong Kong has occupied Admiralty (Outside the government headquarter) to start a new wave of civil disobedience. After the opression of police with pepper spray and tear gas, the movement is now known as Umbrella movement.

Images of some of the original Robotic, Science and Interactive Art Exhibits that MRISAR’s R&D Team has designed and fabricated.
In 2010 MRISAR, (a business that has Designed, Fabricated & Marketed the Earth’s Largest Selection of “Internationally Renowned & Awarded, World-Class Robotics Exhibits & Devices”; and “Hands On” Scientific, Technological & Interactive Art Exhibits), purchased a disused school on the plains of North Dakota and relocated to it. Profit from their International Exhibit Sales helps fund their Humanitarian R&D and the transformation of the 36,000 sq. ft. complex, surrounded by 10 acres in North Dakota, into a World-Class “Interactive, Robotics, Technology, Invention, Art & Nature Center”.
Description of MRISAR’s “Interactive; Robotics, Technology, Invention, Art & Nature Center”.
1- Our 7,000 sq. ft. Exhibit Hall will feature; our standard line of interactive robotic & technology exhibits that we sell to Centers world-wide and our exclusive collection of robotic exhibits & devices that we will not sell to anyone else. Our talking Rail Robot Guide will lead visitors through the exhibit hall. Interact with our innovative, lifelike, futuristic, Robotic creations. Examples; Play with & feed Artificial Life forms in a Robot Zoo! Challenge robots with your human intelligence! Interact with otherworldly artistic, interactive, robotic sculptures! It will also feature Responsible Technologies.
2- Our Art Galleries will display the hundreds of pieces of family friendly, original 2D, 3D and Interactive Art that our team has already created, plus have revolving Family Oriented Local Artists Exhibitions.
3- The surrounding 10 acres is slowly being transformed into an Outdoor Interactive Art & Nature Area that will be filled with paths, trees, gardens and kinetic & interactive, solar & wind, technological art sculptures. The emphasis is edible, medicinal & organic landscapes that promote sustainability & health. As of 2015 over 3,000 edible and medicinal trees and shrubs have been planted.
4- We will provide “Special Tours” of behind the scenes areas. Examples are; (a) our Humanitarian & Environmental Research & Development Think Tank Invention labs that feature our R & D Projects. (b) the actual workshops where the attractions are created (similar to visiting the workshops & creations of Jim Henson’s creature shop). (c) a behind the scenes view of the production studio for the web series we are creating called the “Mysterious Lab of Robotics” (our robotic version of “Bill Nye the Science Guy” or “Beakman’s World”). (d) a chance to meet MRISAR’s internationally renowned robotics R & D team. A four member family team who since 2000 has designed, fabricated & marketed the earth’s largest selection of world-class robotic exhibits. The 2 youngest members joined the team as preschoolers.
5- “Public Enrichment Events”. Examples are; (a) special overnight events called “A Night with the Robots” (available no-where else in the world). Families can make reservations to spend the night on the center floor in sleeping bags or cots and experience special robotic demonstrations in a futuristic atmosphere. In recent years “A Night at the Museum” events have become very popular and highly accepted. (b) special classes on robotics for the general public. (c) Robotics Competitions. We are already providing technical assistance to teachers and academic establishments (both in the state and outside of the country), that are trying to enter robotic competitions, but lack the knowledge to fully instruct and inspire their students. A natural progression for this, once we are open for tourism, would be to offer to hold regional, national and international competitions at our location. (d) International conferences regarding Robotics and Beneficial R & D Conferences. (e) Collaborations, enrichment classes and internships in enhanced technologies with higher academic establishments; combining elements such as Cybernetics, Bionics, Mechatronics, Autonomics, Animatronics & Teleoperation.
6- Admission will be free to the underprivileged. We hope to inspire the upcoming generation to create careers in responsible technologies that improve the quality of life.
7- The proceeds from the Center will help fund our R & D and further our creation of a “Prototype Environment, low cost, low impact, self-sustaining, alternative energy powered, Humanitarian & Environmental Research & Development institute with Think Tank Invention labs”. Our purpose is to invent and present responsible, low cost and easy to implement, beneficial humanitarian and environmental based technologies and methods that assist with social, ecological, sustainable and economic solutions. Accomplishing the prototype environment alone requires research & development of new technologies & improvement of existing technologies.
We have Designed, Fabricated & Marketed the Earth’s Largest Selection of "Internationally Renowned & Awarded" World-Class Robotics Exhibits & Devices; and “Hands On” Scientific, Technological & Interactive Art Exhibits. Our innovative, interactive, inexpensive, durable & easy to maintain creations incorporate interactive technologies & designs for people with disabilities and other special needs. We also provide our own Educational Kits & Materials for K thru 12/College & University level curriculums.
Our Exhibit Sales Customers include World-Class Science Centers, Museums, Universities, NASA, Royalty, Foreign & Domestic Governments, the Film Industries for inclusion in media productions, etc. We specialize in Cybernetics, Bionics, Mechatronics, Autonomics, Animatronics & Teleoperated devices.
Our Humanitarian & Environmental Research & Development has been presented before and/or published and awarded by: the United Nations, NASA-Emhart, Stanford, Cambridge, ICORR, ROMAN, IEEE, Discover Awards, International Federation of Robotics (IFR), etc. Our 1990's circa, original innovative R & D in "Facial Feature Controlled Technology" and "Artificial Sense of Touch Technology" (Adaptive Technology prototypes for the disabled), has helped pioneer those fields! We were the only company in the world to be awarded an entire chapter regarding our work in the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) “World Robotics; Service Robotics, 2011”.
I was ironing steam-a-seam to fabric today and got pencil marks all over my new iron. Freaking out . . . any ideas? I am going to try dryer sheets in the am. This iron is about a week old and I was having a serious love affair with it . . . now I feel horrible when I glance at her.
Decided to use my old iron for anything with iron trashing potential in the future.
Tom tried to help me install my new Soma drop down handles on my newish Masi Speciale Fixed tonight but it was a no go. The handles fit perfectly but we didn't realize that the brake lever he bought last week was too big for my handles so we weren't able to install them properly. Big bummer because I was really looking forward to this. Anyway, here are a few pics of the process. The original ultra wide masi handles will have to do for now. Darn!

If you want you are welcome to help me choose..
I have been in front of the computer for hours drawing, drawing, pulling effect, drawing... (it is actually much more detailed than you can see from here... iris details and all hehe) To produce macoto style eyes for Blythe. ;) to use with the flat eyechips I got home a couple of days ago.
Then I went off with the hue adjusting in photoshop to produce different colors.
So finally I have two versions, one with sharp sparkles and one with blurry sparkles. Which one do you think would be better? sharp or blurry?
And then the color. I can't choose.. *laughs* Hair and face you can see and the yellow eyechips are the ones I have decided firmly to be there.
I might also use one pair for the fake pam too.
Printed out on high res paper. I also tried to print out on OH paper to put foil back but I decided that it did not look as good as I had hoped for so it is better to use solid paper.
