I was so pleased to be part of this Help for Heroes charity event, amazing charity for our servicemen.

Max has been busy working on remodeling the bathroom. It's a good thing that he has good helpers.

Okay, so in like 5th grade, I was really into SW, read all the EU books, ect. So shortly after joining Flickr, I totally lost interest (I'd already been loosing it...)

All this stuff has been sitting in my attic/garage for about a year, gradually getting scrapped and collecting dust. What I wanna know is if y'all think I should scrap, sell or keep my fleet. I really don't care at this point, I could use the moneyz but I could use some of the parts too and it'd take a while to repair everything into selling condition.

HUMPHREYS GARRISON – Nearly 200 community members showed up to help celebrate volunteerism during the USAG-Humphreys 2010 Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony, here, May 21.

Denise Chappell, the USAG-Humphreys Army Volunteer Corps coordinator, said this year’s theme for the ceremony, “A Night of Stars,” was poignant, because “volunteers are shining stars and there are so many things to do on this installation and we couldn’t do everything without our shining stars.”

Registered community volunteers were treated to a complimentary dinner before Col. Joseph P. Moore, USAG-Humphreys commander, addressed the audience and thanked everyone for their hard work and dedication to helping others.

After Moore spoke, the volunteers of the year were revealed. The winners for USAG-Humphreys and Area III volunteer of the year, in their respective categories, were: Youth recipient – Joshua Brown; Active Duty – Staff Sgt. Eric Cogburn; Family Member – Crystal Christian; Retiree – Dawn Jones; and Unit – Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade.

Each of the winners received awards signifying their achievements and certificates of appreciation for their contributions to the Humphreys community.

At the end of the evening, Chappell presented Moore with a ceremonial check in the amount of $851,990 – the dollar amount equivalent to the 45,561 hours that more than 1,200 garrison volunteers logged in the past year.

Help at the wall in front of the Abbey Road Studios in London / United Kingdom.

I was thrilled to be the Events Photographer for Help-Portrait Sydney yesterday and the event was held at the Australian Technology Park (which in itself is an amazing place to shoot)

Just a quick hand held HDR shot of the rear of the area where the event took place :-)

Finally had my allergy testing today. After 60 pricks on my back (painless), I had to endure 40 shots to my arms. OW OW OW! (x40) She went pretty fast, so it was over fairly fast, but by the end of it I felt pretty woozy. It's a little sore and I've developed a few small bruises. No surprise there as I bruise if someone looks at me too hard.

Good news is, I'm not allergic to anything! My sinuses are just screwed up (deviated septum) and may require minor surgery. Going to an ear/nose/throat specialist next week to see about that. It's nice to think that I should be able to go off antihistamines for good. They weren't doing a whole lot to help, anyway. Now I know why.

(I still think I'm allergic to work. Don't think they tested for that.)

“I used to wake up at 4 A.M. and start sneezing, sometimes for five hours. I tried to find out what sort of allergy I had but finally came to the conclusion that it must be an allergy to consciousness.”

Sailing adventure we watched from our hotel balcony

Loading the cart with all the leaves. The reward is to help out with the bonfire. To get picked for a task like this, you had to have done something wrong, at least it was better than a punishment of the slipper or the cane.

Often if you had gone out in the morning in such clothes, you would not get the chance to change out of them if it was just for lunch and you were going straight out afterwards, as long as you were not bringing mud indoors, no time was wasted in changing.

In a way one of the best designs of winter play clothes you could have.

This incredible mother of two darling boys needs help immediately. Recently she has developed severe seizures and other debilitating symptoms which were diagnosed as a pineal brain tumor which needs to be operated on ASAP before things get worse or even likely Rachel could lose her life.

Right now, her life has come to a screeching halt as she is riddled with such severe seizures, headaches and other warning signs from the tumor which prevent her from doing practically anything. The in-network surgeons aren't able to help her as either none have operated as deep in the brain where the type of tumor she has resides or they have failed. She NEEDS to go to an out-of-network surgeon and has found two who are willing and able, one of whom can operate soon, but either way her insurance only covers a small portion and she must come up with approximately $74,000 BEFORE the operation.

Frankly, Rachel needs emergency brain surgery to save her life. Please consider donating or at least sharing the link to her fundraising campaign to help so she can get her surgery scheduled. Hopefully it won't be too late to avoid serious complications. Rachel is the sweetest most selfless person you could ever hope to meet. Currently her husband and children are feeling desperate and almost helpless as they scramble to save this wonderful woman. The dear, sweet boy seen here with her told her, "I know you don't feel good mommy but I love you & it's going to get all better. I'm always going to be your baby". Please help her family and friends keep this Angel on earth out of harm's way.

The CARES Program will help the government in implementing its pandemic response plan the National Relief Program to respond to public health emergencies and to mitigate adverse economic and social impacts caused by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. The program will extend support to the poor and vulnerable to withstand the pandemic's adverse impact on their livelihoods through food assistance and employment support. It will pay special attention to establishing gender-segregated hospital units and facilities, and ensuring that additional incentives are extended to women health workers. Further, the program will increase women's resilience to the pandemic's economic shocks. It will promote resilience to external shocks and strengthen public service delivery, especially in the health sector, contributing to a reduction in shared health risks. The program facilitates the government's mapping of the poor and vulnerable populations for effective food distribution and other relief service delivery.
