The map of Kal Lake that we downloaded was difficult to read at best. Fortunately this helpful local showed us the way.

We went in circles for a bit, but eventually got where we wanted to go :)

Mattie helped me out again for tonight's photo. :) This photo was actually pretty difficult to take, simply because our backyard is becoming a jungle. Lots of yardwork to be done, but not time to do it. That's a task for next weekend, I suppose.

I wanted to throw an accent light from rear camera left to provide some separation, but I think my batteries were running low either on my SB-25 or in my triggers.

....& this is the "clean area". My studio is a nightmare! Part of what pisses me off the most about having Lymes (horrible pain etc aside)..lack of energy & motivation. Can't take the mess out here anymore. My studio is 100% unusable, so I am forcing myself to come out here for at least 15 mins a day till I get it done. Ugh!

TEXTO DO ERNANIB:

Ajude!!! Divulge!!! Dê corda nesses pequenos relógios de vida.

There is a time for planting and a time for harvesting. We are all in a hurry to live, not to die.We have time for internet, for friends, for playing, for working and we never have time to stop and help others. We have time for watching TV, reading the papers or a good book but we never have time for reading a message asking for help.

But there are the ones who don’t have any more time to lose. The ones who didn’t have time to plant. That barely have time to play. That won’t have time to say “I love you, mom, dad”. Because someone, somewhere didn’t have time to read this message, to try to know what it means, to try to know how to help. Because many times who could help don’t have the time, because it’s not an investment with short term interest or because thinks its time is too valuable to spend with somenone who doesn’t have that much time.

Stop for a moment.Try to read and get informed. The children that are about to say their goodbyes to life will be thankful for these few moments you took to help them.. Don’t let their life clocks stop just because you didn’t want to waste your time. Help them! Spread the word! Wind up these little life clocks

I've learned in life that it is okay to ask for help sometimes, it isn't a sign of weakness, instead its a sign of strength.

“Things have been very difficult since my husband passed away, but with hard work and help we make it through” says Nyamkhuu, a middle aged woman in the Terelj National Park in Mongolia. Her and her husband have been herding cattle and yaks for many years to provide for their family. But after her husband passed away in 2011, she has had to carry a heavy load. Nyamkhuu has three children, the youngest Sarnai (pictured), is only 18 months old. She provides for them by continuing her cattle herding and selling dairy products such as Aaruul, a dried milk curd that is a food staple to many Mongolians. Nyamkhuu has been a client of VisionFund Mongolia for years but since her husband passed she has appreciated the additional resources that they provide even more. Nyamkhuu’s mom Yura (pictured) has been a huge help during this tough time. She helps bake the Aaruul, milk the cattle and take care of Sarnai. With her mom’s help, loans from VisionFund Mongolia and most importantly hard work and perseverance, Nyamkhuu has been able to send her children to school and provide money for her entire family.
