this female parakeet was busy on guava trees. there are plenty at Sunder nursery and they were enjoying their food.
I'm not certain if this is something I read recently or just wanted to try out. I took five bracketed photo with CL on my D800E. I then used HDR Efex Pro 2 to merge them. Most of my past experiences had been using a tripod; this was a first for handheld. The quality of the image amazed me, needless to say! Zooming in, I could see some movement in the leafs but very minimal.
Handheld zoomed shot . Original framed verson posted below. Desaturated and WB in picnik. Natural winter liht coming through door to picture's right. I like the paler version but what do you think?
Soundtrack Monday extra: All Blues, Miles Davis. I was trying to get Rhapsody in Blue, but the tune that is rolling through my head is Miles. Go figure.
Handheld 3 exposure HDR / Photomatix Pro, Topaz Adjust, Nik SilverEffex and Photoshop processed.
I couldn't wait to get back to doing some images from last October that I put off as I was saturating my photostream with redrock images.
These photographs were taken during the National Parks closing by US Congress. We drove the backroads for access to parts of the parks not normally seen.
Hong Kong’s bus stops are very long. Each stops usually have space to allow multiple buses “park” at the same time. They usually run along the highway, so having space for multiple buses to stop along the way is necessary. This enables high speed travel with stops along major districts.
You know why New York buses are inefficient? Because in New York every block is a traffic light. In Hong Kong the urban planning is different. Buses can run on highway all the time while sections of the pedestrian walk is crafted out for bus to stop.

Photographed handheld with the Canon 7D + EF 70-200 f/4L + EF 1.4x Extender III. Stitched using Hugin PTGUI, an open source pano stitcher which affords far more advanced stitching algorithm than Photoshop. Then tweaked inside Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4.

Part of an unsuccessful, handheld, long-exposure wide field shot, which I quite like! I thought it looked like a snake.
Camera was aimed towards Perseus or Andromeda (took a few shots so not sure). After quick research, I think it might be Algol which is described as a bright, colour-changing star. If it is, makes a nice link to the snake-like appearance as Algol represents Medusa's eye in Perseus.
Our wii broke, and Nintendo is close by, so I took it directly to their customer service center. It's just a small lobby with a bit of swag for sale, but there's some cool Nintendo history there. See the notes for details.
