Clare is a musician and storyteller. This photograph was taken just after her performance of the Iliad at the Pentameters Theatre, Hampstead. The instrument is a reproduction classical Greek Lyre. I was fortunate that this performance was by candlelight- the atmosphere was great so I asked Clare for a few minutes and pulled out the camera. A friend held up a couple of candles and I cranked the ISO up to 6400 and took half a dozen pictures (handheld) before Clare had to leave. Massive firework in Ypres, Friday evening at about 22:30, close to my hotel room window.
Tried shooting handheld with camera set to automatic everything, and got, together with other quite interesting shots, this.
Quite amazing, never done handheld shooting of firework before.
Exposure ended up as 0,4 sec, again the Canon 24-105mm L IS stabilizer did a great job
