Taken at Glentrool, on a slope, amongst a bunch of ferns, hand held with my new Sony A7ii using the in-built body stabilisation and a £20, 1982 manual Japanese Helios 28mm M42 mount lens...
Handheld on 1/25 sec - with a pola filter on - is quite silly, but I had been shooting sunset and was walking back to my car when I saw this bird. There wasn't time for another set-up.
Handheld, I have now ordered a pocket tripod so I can get these stopped down a little more and longer exposures at lower iso.

I guess this must be the most photographed item in the universe
So yes why not
This could be definitely the one that hit the number I just wrote
Or maybe loads of 0's more
I don't know why it's so awesome to take a photo of the moon, but it gives me the awe feeling every time
Maybe it has something to do that we all actually share the moon
I'm looking at it
You are looking at it
Wherever you are
I guess this sentence did something with me too:
"That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind"
I'm pretty satisfied with my handheld shot here
Viking muscles is the thing
