Okay, here is the story. I am sitting in my car, eating outside the box (Taco Bell) and I see this guy sitting on some steps (across the street), minding his own business. Buy he keeps putting his hand up to his face. The Theme this week in our 365 group is hands... so I am kind of looking for hands... but I really don't want to bother the guy. But then he just keeps putting his hand to his face... So I decide to talk to him and ask for a hand picture. I ask him why he does that with his hand. He says "Because I am happy."

Cyriacus Schneegaß (* 5. Oktober 1546 in Bufleben, nördlich von Gotha in Thüringen, † 1597 in Friedrichroda in Thüringen) war evangelischer Pfarrer und Kirchenlieddichter.
Schneegaß wurde 1546 in dem Dorfe Bufleben, nördlich von Gotha, geboren, er ist vermutlich aus einem bäuerlichen Geschlechte hervorgegangen, erlebte eine durch kriegerische und theologische Wirren bewegte Jugend. Der Schmalkaldische Krieg mit seinen für die thüringischen Länder bedeutsamen Folgen, wie die Belagerung und Einnahme Gothas durch den Kurfürsten August von Sachsen fallen in die Jahre seiner Kindheit und Ausbildung.
Er besuchte die Handelsschule in Gotha und darauf die Universität in Jena. Von seinen Lehrern ist der gothaische Rektor Cyriacus Lindemann hervorzuheben, der maßgeblichen Einfluss auf ihn hatte.
Nachweise über sein Leben finden sich erst wieder 1573, als er das erste geistliche Amt als fünfter evangelischer Pfarrer an der St. Blasiuskirche des Waldortes Friedrichroda aufnimmt. Gleichzeitig bekleidete er die Stelle eines Adjunkten der weimarischen Superintendentur. In diese Zeit fällt die Vermählung mit Dorothea Lindemann, der einzigen Tochter seines 1568 gestorbenen Lehrers. Sie gebar ihm acht Töchter, von denen vier im Vorwort zu seinem Buch 'Geistliche Lieder und Psalmen' erwähnt werden. Darüber hinaus sind zwei früh gestorbene Söhne bekannt.
In evangelische Gesangbücher hat vor allem das beliebte Lied 'In dir ist Freude in allem Leide' Aufnahme gefunden.

Die beiden Mainufer entwickeln sich immer mehr zum attraktivsten Stadtraum Frankfurts. Der Eiserne Steg, eine 1869 eröffnete Fußgängerbrücke, ist eines der Wahrzeichen der Stadt. Der Blick von einer der östlichen Innenstadt-Mainbrücken auf Altstadt und Skyline wird in den Medien gern als Illustration für Beiträge aus Frankfurt verwendet.

Recorded at London's Morgan Studios Produced by George Martin, assisted by John Miller and released on RCA Victor, the original cover art , as seen on the uk release,was a black and white drawing of a sheriff's rotund stomach produced by Klaus Voormann (famous for designing the cover of The Beatles' album Revolver). The drawing referred to a track about one of America's racist policemen, Sheriff Myras Lincoln, which was banned in the USA. A new cover was produced for the US release, this time a photograph of a hand, fingers splayed, beneath the Stars and Stripes. All songs were written by Edwards and Hand.

I'm getting back on the miniature book wagon! Here's my latest - a little one with one of a kind hand-marbled covers, with a blue library buckram spine (with gold accents) and inside, red paste paper endpages.
The pages are all sewn with a tiny needle, just like I sew my larger books - in fact all of the construction is the same, just scaled way down.
