Do you have any idea how hard it is to balance a tiny plastic pig on one hand while taking a photograph with an SLR with the other?

This large hand-thrown studio pottery vase is by an unidentified maker. Found in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, it is marked with an illegible incised signature.
While trying to photograph a dice role (see here), we discovered the accidental images of our hands appeared like flames. After we finished shooting the dice, we setup to try and get some better "flame" images and got some fairly successful results.

First of all I want to thank you for the comments, fav's and clicks, my flickr page nearly exploded :D
I have decided to make a new project called "85mm of black and white".
All photos for this project will be taken with my 85mm 1,8 lense in black and white. The idea for the project came yesterday in my mind 'cause all the photos from yesterday are in bw with the 85mm and I want to continue this style with the project:)

This is at Auckland Zoo. I was quite surprised, looking at this photo afterwards, that I'd managed to avoid getting anyone else in the photo. There certainly was no lack of other visitors to the zoo that day!
D2 is on the left. One of her best friends from kindy is in the middle, and the girl on the right is the little sister of their other best friend (she's already moved up to morning kindy, so she couldn't make it to the zoo with us that day).
