Pregnant belly wrapping with hand at the Saturday morning Artwalk in downtown Beloit.
"Live body-casting and acrylics on canvas by Anne Elisabeth Hogh."
(Soft focus version.)
The body parts cast here during Artwalk 2007 will be assembled into some kind of sculpture to be on display later this summer.
I like to draw on my hand. Sometimes I wish I was ambidextrous so I could draw on both hands . . . I think my right hand might get jealous . . .
As knitted by my Mum and made famous by Philip Torrone. The one with the iPod in is my personal sock, which I've had for three or four months. As you can see, it hasn't worn or pilled. Available to buy.
The first time I had my hands painted with henna in Venice Beach. And yes, I liked it so much that I had it done again. ;)
While filling the sink to wash some pots and pans, I took this photo. What appears to be a beam of light is actually the stream of water from the kitchen faucet.

From the left: This is the sign for "Please Landlord, May I have a bottle of your finest Ale...?"
The next Sign is "Why, this is most delicious- Thank you kindly my friend" and finally the sign for "I Love you!"

This is a photogram (something else I learned about in my otherwise utterly pointless photography class). It's made by simply placing objects on a piece of photographic paper and exposing the paper to light, then simply developing the paper. This turned a few heads when I showed it in class because no one could guess how I actually made it, the reason being: shadows on photographic paper appear white when developed, so how could I have made my hand black? And then people looked at the 'cracks' on the hand, and were further perplexed.
It was simple, really, I made one photogram of my hand, developed it, cut out my hand, put the outline (notice the edges) and a piece of overhead transparency (with 'cracks' drawn on it) over another sheet of photo paper and exposed and developed again.
Totally forgot to post his new hands. Minifee NS hands, 2014. I can definitely tell that his head is slightly yellowed now because the hands look VERY pink against the body but the head blends in much better. But if you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know that resin match doesn’t bother me much. BUT the most important part is that they fit perfectly. The minifee hooks are a bit small but they do fine.
( Also, Qhinn’s old hands are for sale. PM me if interested. Hooks included )
They’re the #7 hands which was exactly what I wanted but I noticed a problem… The magnet inside his right hand is upside down! So the magnets are repelling each other. It’s fine right now because the hand is tight but it might be a problem one day if the hand gets loose. Does anyone know how I can dissolve the glue so I can flip the magnet? Anyone else with these hands have this problem?
...ultimamente pido harto ese gesto con las manos.
Intentado algo nuevo, nuevo para ambas.
