As we gear up for a 2 week long Photo Trip to California, here's one from the last trip. This was shot in Half Moon Bay, California, just before sunset. Sunsets over the Pacific are something to see.

A wave crashes at Half-Moon Bay, North of Kaikoura in New Zealand's South Island.
To my back is a small stream, in which juvenile seals play whilst their mothers are out to sea. Unfortunately, I didn't get anything acceptable whilst I was there.
Our very first full day was at one of our favorite cruise stops: Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas (or, Full Moon Cay for this particular day).
The beautiful water and beach of Holland America Line's private island, the award winning Half Moon Cay.
I spent a delightful Saturday sunset with the Famous Flickr Five+ Group at Half Moon Bay in Black Rock where we ate delicious fish and hot chips from the Cerberus Beach House before wandering along the beach to the sandstone pillars for sunset.
Half Moon Bay is a beautiful beach located in the Melbourne suburb of Black Rock, about twenty-two kilometers south-east of Mebourne's centre.
In the bay the iconic shipwreck of the HMVS Cerberus sits just above the waterline. A naval vessel that predates Australian Federation in 1901, this ship is both living history and testament to Australia's maritime tradition.
Since its decommissioning shortly after the Great War, the HMVS Cerberus has served as a breakwater.
In addition to the bay and the HMVS Cerberus, there are also the wonderful sandstone cliffs of Red Bluff. Viewed at sunset their many colours are on full show and you could be forgiven for thinking momentarily that you were in Utah.

Walking alone tonight
Looking at a half moon
Wondering why it does that
Trying to keep my mind of you
Together for three years
Then you walked out
No reason given
No sight of anything bothering you
As I walk to night under this half moon
I feel that the half moon represents my heart
My heart that lose the other half when you left
I stop to stare at this half moon wondering
Wondering when it goes back to a full one
If my heart will also go back to a whole one
Till that moon turns to a full one
I will not forget the nights we stared at it
Always saying that a half moon is a smile
A smile meaning that life is good
Now as I look at this half moon
I see no smile
I see just a moon missing its other half
One day I hope that you look at that half moon
And see what I see
A moon that is nothing but that a half.

3-ZERO CAFE, HALF MOON BAY AIRPORT, Half Moon Bay, CA: This really is a great spot for breakfast. When we filmed Photowalking 8 a few of us (Matt Roe, Andrew Moore, Dave Sifry and I) got down to Half Moon Bay early to shoot before the sun came up and Dave found this little gem out at the Half Moon Bay Airport.
Later on that day we actually had breakfast here and I thought the food and the service was really good. Nice people work here with great food and reasonable prices. If you ever find yourself on Highway 1 in the morning stop by and have yourself an omelet .
