A friendly Chinese farmer who allowed me to take his picture in Yangshou, China. At the time he was watching over several of his water buffalo that were standing in a nearby stream.

Estou empolgada, peguei uma na pré-ordem com a Helo, do Mundo da Blythe, ontem e hoje saiu a foto dela... ela é linda!!!
Achei ela parecida com a Cloud 9, não parece ser o mesmo tom de ruivo mas o corte é semelhante, adorei!
Talvez a Cloud 9 saia da minha lista...
Só não gostei da cor dos olhos, ninguém merece olhos vermelhos e rosas!

A couple of days ago, as I was preparing for backpacking through Belgium and Italy, I thought it was a great chance to start the 100 strangers project. So, I printed some business-card type contact cards in case I did manage to photograph any stranger.
I set off to Brussels where I saw people with interesting looks to photograph but did not manage to get rid of my shyness. The same thing happened as I moved through Milan, Venice, and Pisa.
Then, while in Rome, I saw these guys near the Coliseum. They were chasing or pushing each other as they moved through the sidewalk. They were irradiating affection and care for each other. Unfortunately, I was caught up in the moment and also got nervous, so I did nothing.
A few minutes later, as I was wandering through the city, I saw them a second time! Now, I did approach them. I was nervous but managed to explain how I was touched by their interactions earlier. I think I managed to explain I was learning to shot portraits and asked for their permission for a picture. They agreed!
I got very excited. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask any more details about them, failed to explain about the project, and almost miss the photo due to over-exposing my shot. I did not pay enough attention to the camera settings (previously, I was shooting manual mode for an under-lighted subject) and this shot had strong sunlight! (Thanks to Lightroom I was able to fix my mistake)
Also, I only fired the shutter once! Then, I abruptly thanked their help, wished them a good day, and just managed to handle one of the contact cards.
For my first portrait, I see plenty of room for improving technical- and social-wise.

Excuse the bad focus ... it was a quick hand held shot with the tele, even though he was only about 30' away, plus he kept looking around and the wind was blowing. But, at least we were honored with a brief encounter from this friendly boy.
Yesterday, I was looking for the Critically Endangered Ridgway's Hawk and accidentally stumbled upon these 2 friendly ladies on the beach...... (Macao Beach, D.R.)

Got this picture a few days ago when walking from Hollywood Studios to EPCOT via the Boardwalk. I always forget that, with the right angle, you can see Spaceship Earth from the Boardwalk. Have a fantastic weekend, everybody!

This little Robin has started landing on my wife's knee when she sits down by the front door and will jump onto her hand to take a couple of suet pellets.
