Excerpt from the plaque:
From Line to Form
Brian Donnelly began his artistic journey at the age of 12 with graffiti – a style of art that breaks convention. He began tagging the streets of his hometown, Jersey City, eventually branching out to Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. This was the formative period when he developed his artist persona KAWS and several of his signature motifs. In 1993 he enrolled in Manhattan’s School of Visual Arts, where he received technical training. This salon-style hang of works reveals his love of drawing and his dedication to refining his skill.
KAWS’s time as a graffiti artist was foundational to what would become the ethos of his current practice: claiming public spaces, communicating with broad audiences, and self-promotion through creating.
What did I tell you about that...
"As if you don't do it, I had to download Breaking Dawn since you won't buy me the book because you say it sucks...Don't like it, buy me a kindle."
Signs of settlements - Smirisary forms a small cluster of houses down around the shoreline, nestling amongst the rocks.

Knowledge consists of fragments of information, of facts, of experiences. We arrange these fragments in some order and we get a narrative which forms into knowledge. If we arrange fragments in a different order, we will get a different narrative. But all the information remains.

158733, forming ScotRail's 1L06 1359 Perth to Edinburgh service, noses past Clatchard Craig quarry on the outskirts of Newburgh on a nippy 29th December 2020.
In the shadows mid distance is Lindores Abbey regarded as the spiritual home of Scotch whisky and is thus a very important place... Blending in with the old structures, a new distillery on the site no doubt aims to capitalise on matters.
Beyond the distillery is the River Tay with beyond that the flatlands of the Cask, sorry, Carse of Gowrie.
Thats enough whisky puns for one caption.
Sláinte.
Unloading is almost finished, and the 6D80 limestone train will soon form the 6H80 10.28 empties back to Tunstead.
At the time this service ran weekly, usually on a Wednesday. It was easy to capture as its speed through the unloader was so slow. Just as well, as coal workings were by then fairly infrequent as the last coal fired power station in the UK was due to close in 2024. The coal hoppers had arrived two days previously and the GBRF loco that brought them from Immingham left as a light engine.
On this day the temperature was just above freezing point with no wind, so it was on a fairly high output.
How we will miss these quiet giants that have been part of the UK landscape for over fifty years. This one started generating power in 1968 and has a maximum output of 2,000 megawatts.
Best enjoyed 'large'.
A careful look at the pile of coal will reveal two yellow mechanical shovels. They are constantly moving the coal to prevent fires which would occur due to the heating process that happens as the coal 'composts'.

A pretzel (German: Breze(l) is a type of baked bread product made from dough most commonly shaped into a twisted knot. The traditional pretzel shape is a distinctive nonsymmetrical form, with the ends of a long strip of dough intertwined and then twisted back into itself in a certain way (a pretzel loop). In modern times, pretzels come in a range of different shapes.
Salt is the most common seasoning for pretzels, complementing the washing soda or lye treatment that gives pretzels their traditional skin and flavor through the Maillard reaction. Pretzels originated in Europe centuries before Christ's birth, although popular stories claim that the pretzel was invented by a monk to represent arms crossed in prayer to the Trinity. (Wikipedia)
Formed about 25 million years ago, the spectacular limestone formation of Wawel Hill is not the solid piece of rock it appears to be, but rather filled with eerie caves and crawl spaces. As legend would have it, the craggy chambers beneath Wawel were once home to Smok Wawelski, or the Wawel Dragon, a particularly nasty creature who liked nothing more than to gorge himself on sheep and local maidens. Story goes that as the village ran out of virgins, the King promised the hand of his only daughter to the hero who could vanquish the vile beast. Wave upon wave of brave knights fell beneath the dragon's fiery breath before a poor cobbler named Krak tricked Smok into eating a sheep stuffed full of sulphur, which instantly ignited inside his gullet. With an unquenchable thirst the dragon went and drank half the river before his distended belly exploded and the town was freed of his wrath. Krak married the princess, of course, became king, built his castle on the dragon's lair and the people built a city around it named 'Kraków' after their saviour king.
Smok's bones were hung triumphantly outside the entrance of the Cathedral, where they remain today. His cave became a famous tavern and brothel during medieval times. The stairway leads to the caves leads which goes through under the castle courtyard to outside the complex by the riverbank, right in front of Smok's sculpted bronze likeness unveiled in 1972 to a design by the local artist Bronisław Chromy. The sculpture occasional provides fire-breathing bliss.
The lake, which is formed in the shape of a spotted leopard pattern, is located in Canada’s Okanagan Valley. It is one of the remarkable wonders of the world and calls “the most magical place in Canada”. It initially looks like other lakes, but in the summer months when most of the water evaporates, hundreds of abundant salty pools remain. It contains different minerals in yellow and blue colors. Minimal life survives due to the extremely salty condition of the lake.
This lake is not only a remarkable physical feature, but also a very important historical and spiritual site for the local First Nation Peoples.
